To be precise, 84 (zolotniks) means 875/1000 silver fineness.
The town mark is hard to decipher but perhaps it may be Moscow - St. George on the horse?
No "kokoshnik" (face) mark would mean the item is from before 1896 marking reform.
And finally, "KF" is an intriguing maker's mark because it was used by none other than Karl Fabergé - most known for his famous Faberge eggs.

But, just keep in mind that his mark would probably be also the most copied one. I am no expert on his work and have no idea if this ring is genuine. The symbol of a double-headed eagle on a cross is used on many various items in Russia and maybe it even has some meaning to it (but this I'm just guessing).

Thanks to @brnlx639, and several others before, I completed my set of QEII sovereign heads.
[I find photographing sovereigns particularly challenging, especially the newer shinier ones.]

And from @Tn21 came these, my first Gold Standards.

Another trip to the box today, and did a bit of reshuffling...

The 1/10th Gold Brits came out (to be traded up for something else) and in went a 2022 Quarter Sovereign in blister pack, a 2002 bullion Sovereign, a 2022 Platinum 1/10oz Britannia in blister pack, another tube of 2021 1/4oz Silver Britannias, the 2022 PF 70 Full Sovereign and 3 x Gillick Sovereigns (1959, 1962 & 1965).
Stack is starting to shape up nicely now 😁

I always wondered if and how personal preferences have an impact on "how" a stacker/collector operates on the market, eventually forcing him/her to overapay some coins or, on the other hand, not to buy some, even at decent or profitable rates.
I personally have never liked William IV and Eward VII portraits, and i therefore found myself poorly motivated in chasing respective coins, even when i found them in the past at decent price-s. On the other hand i litterally love George IV laureate head portrait and i admit i m always tempted when i see his coins in high grades in auctions..
that is one of my favourite

    Britannia & 3 dragons
Once again Bank of England's 1st £5 note 1957, this time with a 1982 Proof Quintuplet, and Double Sovereign G&D. The dragon on the note seems larger and more fearsome to me!

This time it's 3 Proof 1oz Britannia's on the Bank of England's 1st £50 note (1981) All 3 seem to have a different shade of 'gold' - 1987, 1997, and 2007. I realise that this is not up for discussion, but clearly the R.M. were experimenting with the alloy of these 22ct coins between that period, which included the addition of silver. However the 1987 uses red gold (all copper) Thankfully, the Brits went to 9999 later. It's a pity the RM didn't use the alloy from the 1997 or the 2007 for the Sovereign!  NB The reverse of the Note shows Sir Christopher Wren & St Pauls Cathedral by the way

Better in Gold...but Still No Walk on the Beach   As far as the Royal Mint One Pound coin designs go, the "Nations of the Crown" has to rate as staggeringly average and is soundly thrashed into a cocked hat by its predecessor, the exquisite 2016 "Last Round Pound", designed by Gregory Cameron. After six years of this incessant tedium it is impossible to fathom why the RM has not managed to update this tired and uninspired numismatic anachronism. That being said, the design does look somewhat better lend itself to bi-coloured gold that it does to a silver/gold combo. Surprisingly, an uncomfortably high number of 2,142 "collectors" deemed this coin worthy of purchase upon release, making it the second highest mintage of all gold proof decimal pounds. More fool them.    Presumably buyers were unaware that the new shape heralded a latter-day coin-clipping exercise by the RM, with the missing "corners" accounting for a 10% reduction in gold content. Which was nice.   As with my silver £1 collection, this dodecagonal usurper will be the final coin in my (currently incomplete) set.   Excellent service from Louise at @CoinsOfTheRealmAuctions. Highly recommended.

unreal together! When you see the colour it'd amazes me how the Royal mint can get it so wrong with their rose gold sovs

First up....  Little John courtesy of @FFposh. Splendid coin to finish up my myths and legends set.
Next up.... A couple of splendid examples from @gji25. A 2018 ASE and a 2018 maple. Two more towards the end goal.
thanks to both for making a not so great day feel a whole lot better.

Picked up a Proof Silver Eagle on 'the bay'.
Didn't come in a presentation box so was a nice deal. Hoping to get @GoldDiggerDave to send it for grading, but theres a little mark on the field where someones tried to clean it? Fingers crossed that Dave can work his magic.
Apart from that, its a lovely example.

    In other news..........
Added a couple more Proof Britannias to the collection.

Another step closer to the Sixpence Type Set I am putting together.  This time a Charles I 1643- 1644, mm Lion Spink: 2876. 2.89g.  Charles portrait depicted in a scalloped lace collar and Reverse with a Crowned oval shield.
The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on the obverse "Charles by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland"; and on the reverse "I reign under the auspice of Christ."
This is a nice VF/gVF Hammered example of a provincial issued York Mint Sixpence from the midst of the English Civil War. Charles I issued coins from many English & Welsh besieged towns & cities during the war, in order to pay his armies and ensure trade and commerce could continue.

    Saved the best until last.
Silver 2oz and Gold 1/4oz QB set complete.
I guess my plan, after finishing the 2oz QBs, of going onto the 10oz next, didn't work out.
I want to thank both @Midasfrog and ultimately @modofantasma for the complete set.  (I now have spares!)
Photographing the whole lot was a challenge.
