  1. I've a 1 oz Perth mint cast piece. It looks incredible. Haven't come across smaller for sale but have seen a half oz picture (until the above post) it's about postage stamp footprint hang on I'll see if I've a photo
  2. If I were to follow this route I would get a design made up and create a spec then send it off to a mint to get some samples. You'd effectively be 'private labeling' which is pretty common for all kinds of products from dog food to bathroom suites, whilst I've not done it with pms a quick look around https://bulmint.com/en/services
  3. It depends on a, the price and b, the amount of silver someone already has perhaps c the exit strategy. If I would save a few quid per kg then not that interested over kg bars but if it was very low premium well priced I'd be interested. If it's somebodies only piece of silver then it's not ideal as it isn't divisible... If sitting on 30+ kg of silver then having 5kg in one lump wouldn't bother me Finally the exit... If I wanted to cash out my stack or needed some money quickly selling little bits and pieces is more time consuming to bring in a significant amount of money.

    Coins

Rules changed on importing silver coins after brexit transition period so you would be charged vat and customs fees in addition to the prices you're paying to the actual dealer to purchase.
  5. Well done hope it's the first of many for you. It looks a nice coin. There's a sale listing from @1stsovereignwith some victoria jubilee head sovs at £320 each. I'm not clued up on the specific dates and mintages if there is something about that date or mintage or mint mark it might fetch a little more
  6. Looking at the high street cash and pawn shops that price is likely for a half sov they've had bullion full sovs asking 450 quid when your main online bullion dealers are selling between 315 and 330 delivered.
  7. Sounds legit where do i send payment and is western union OK? 😏🤣
  8. I've done some part trade and part sales via the forum. I started buying a wide variety of different fractional Gold which every now and then I sell a few bits and pieces, partly as I prefer the 1 oz coins and sovs and want a more uniform stack but also it was a good option to build a bit of feedback and experience on the forum. If you have some specific pieces that you've got and wish to trade you could list what you have and roughly what you're after instead and it might get a deal started with someone.
  9. I'd agree. The ase tend to be advertised at higher premiums in Europe and UK but my local bullion dealer would rather take brits and doesn't see us coins as better they're just bullion. I think your local mints going to be the best bet and easiest to sell (eg ase if you're US based, kangaroos in Aussie, Brits in UK) Certainly worth considering the buy price though. I've not bought many bullion coins this year due to premiums
  10. Are you trying to buy a single coin or buying tubes/boxes etc?
  11. A friend had an online account hacked, they ordered something to their own address so when my mate got access back to his account he got the address and phone number and went crazy put a load of ads up in all the local groups that he (the scammer) collects scrap fridges and to drop them off at his address amoungst other things
  12. Can just imagine trying to whisper gold coins. Yep 2000 pounds worth. And then the clerk shouting it down the tannoy oh wow 2000 worth of gold coins just in that package, 😂
  13. I have written on a folded piece of paper the value Eg £330 and then inside the note gold coin I just show the value to the window when they ask and usually don't ask what's inside but if they did I could show without shouting it across the post office
  14. Not so much a major error but being wary of spreads when buying and selling via the dealers. It takes a fair shift in price to break even that way
  15. It's a pass from me too. Not quite the qb series is it?
  16. Only partly useful but I've sourced from house renovations, pipes tanks cables and wires. Just tend to pile it up then take it to weigh in though so can't help on the other part. Might be able to 'harvest' it from skips or scrap appliances or friends and family doing renovations etc potentially
  17. Have to ask the main man Gordon about the UKs 😂
  18. I read on yahoo the amount of available cash and the amount they bought of gold and dividing the two it's just over 2% of their available cash. Probably wouldn't call it "backing up the truck" but it isn't an insignificant amount of money. Certainly interesting
  19. Throw em to the tubes though normally they come in tubes. I bought a 'tube' of kookaburras a while back and they were in individual capsules wrapped together which I find a bit annoying. Prefer the straight tubes like brits or maples. Stacking more plastic than silver at that rate 😂 'junk' silver I've seperate the purities in seperate bags but getting to the point where I'll see if tubes can save some space on those compared to just loose bags. The gold I'm swapping out odds and ends gradually sticking with tubes of sovs and 1 oz for future purchases unless I see a really good deal. Sovs for fractional and 1 oz I think makes the most sense
  20. There was a couple on Hgm recently it looks like they're gone now.
