  1. I usually just give the old milk spots a quick buzz with the angle grinder. Soon has a coin cleaned up.
  2. There are some manufacturers that offer a 'private labelling' type service. Eg will manufacture to your design and spec https://bulmint.com/en/services
  3. Low £320s delivered here too, can't go wrong with a few sovs here and there https://atkinsonsbullion.com/gold/gold-coins/sovereign-gold-coins/pre-owned-uk-full-gold-sovereign-mixed-dates
  4. It depends. If you can buy them at low premium and sell them easily enough when the time comes then I wouldn't call them bad. Personally I prefer the modern bullion, krugs, brits etc but I've had a few lmu coins and they are nice

    Gold Buffalo.

Every gold stack needs a Krugerrand 😁 good choice so far. I also love the buffalo. Also the 2022 Britannia is now out with some dealers (whilst it appears to be the same aside from the date) no need complicate things
  6. 'terapeak" is apparently eBay equivalent though I haven't used it personally
  7. There is a website for Amazon products called camelcamelcamel. You can search the item listings unique code and it will show you the price over time of that specific listing eg if one brings out a new product and to get it off the ground, sells 50 at £9.99 then increases the price to £24.99 all the feedback and sales are true and genuine. If stock was running out and a new delivery was a week away one could increase the price to £49.99 and this website would show it.
  8. Eg if you're sat on a monster box of Brits acquired at £14 an oz and you can sell them all in one go tomorrow for £18 an oz compared to maybe low 20s on here and having to deal with a couple weeks worth of post trips and different buyers and messages... Maybe the opportunity you're moving the money into outweighs the few quid extra you could get
  9. As Chris says sometimes price isn't someone's main consideration. Speed might be preferable if someone doesn't have the luxury of choosing their selling time in advance. Re the vat, gold seems a better option rarely having to pay more than 3 to 5% premium compared to silver at 50% plus... Who knows what the prices will do in the future maybe silver will work out to be more profitable, If I was just starting over now or I could only choose 1 metal as a UK based person I'd probably start with gold.
  10. I suppose if they say they offer the best rates guaranteed it could be.... The best rates guaranteed( that they can offer whilst maintaining healthy margins to run and grow a business.) 🤔 Don't all the gold buying shops say best prices paid if you go into a typical town? I suppose it's like good companies twisting the labelling rules
  11. I've picked up a few '2nd hand' bullion coins from them and they've been like new what I've received... The wording of second quality definitely sounds like they're a bit rough though😬
  12. Can only imagine the news reports on that if it came for discussion.... Rich people who can afford to splurge on the luxurious metals of Kings wanting a reduction of the vat on their precious metals like solid silver coins and bars whilst xxx% of people can't even afford basic amenities. We spoke to one reader who is struggling to even buy their newborn the latest £3k smartphone despite working part time in a shop and only eating out 6 nights a week "they're greedy pigs" "how dare they" 🤣🙄
  13. Removing the tax would proably be about as popular as giving landlords some tax breaks with the gen public 😂 Possibly more concerned about vat being reintroduced.
  14. 🤣 Snooze you lose. Brutal. You'll get a better priced one in time I'm sure BTW it wasn't me
  15. If it's going to sit in a vault until you sell it anyway then does it matter what design is on... may as well get something cheaper premium.
  16. 🐮🐮🐮 If it's the coin you want and you'll get the extra 50 quids worth of enjoyment over a standard brit or Krug why not.
  17. It's one of the cheapest buffalo's with a dealer recently. If I didn't get one at end of Sept I'd be very tempted
  18. Got excited when it said 'from 1352' up at 1384 though as they've only got 1... you can have it 😂
  19. Different dealers have their 'best value' sovs. Atkinsons were cheapest when I was shopping a couple of days ago. I did look at Chards though they were 'orderable' they weren't 'in stock'. I've used HGM and BBP in the past too but on this occasion were more expensive. I also picked a few up off the forum just depends on the day what people have for sale. https://atkinsonsbullion.com/gold/gold-coins/sovereign-gold-coins/pre-owned-uk-full-gold-sovereign-mixed-dates These are also now out of stock though it does seem to update by the day
  20. Some countries it's quite a normal thing. Have a post shop in most towns and then the receiver simply goes there to collect and voila
  21. There is sometimes an option depending what you're ordering and where from https://www.postoffice.co.uk/mail/local-collect Some retailers have it as an option. If you're referring to pms specifically I've not seen such an option. If I order anything online I get shipped to a mates work place and collect when I'm passing
  22. It does look easy, pallet is set at a nice height... It might have taken dozens of retakes to make it look like that though too 🤔
