  1. I'm disappointed if it takes a dealer a week to dispatch a simple order that was in stock at time of ordering 🤣 (next day delivery, great if it doesn't take a week to dispatch) But a whole year??
  2. As pointed out above there is perhaps a little less spread if you do all the work selling and posting individually or in lots on the forum then shopping and buying sovs instead. It depends if you've got the spare time and if that's worth it. Personally I'd just keep the maples and pick sovs up in future purchases. Either way you've got some gold you're doing OK 👍🏽
  3. And as Bully says. If you were buying a heavier bar generally you'd expect less premium Eg cheaper per oz to buy a 10 oz bar than a 1 oz bar.
  4. Some buyers might be willing to pay a little more for a certain design but a dealer will most likely offer you the same for each. Personally if I'm buying something - 1 oz gold for eg. I might pay 10 even 20 quid more than the cheapest bullion britania for something a bit fancy if I like the design but if a krugerrand was 20 quid cheaper than the brit I'd take that. Dealers prices will be different depending where you buy and the quantity you're buying. If you just want 1 oz gold bar check a couple. It might be that dealer A is cheaper for 1 but dealer B is cheaper if buying múltiples
  5. Interested to hear what you end up with. I got my hands on a random box of 'old coins' someone localish was giving away found an 1890 Victorian crown in good condition and a silver 3 or 6 pence can't remember which it was now. The rest of the box was commemorative crowns and old base metal coins. There were just shy of £30 worth of £2 though and a few quids worth of foreign change. For free I just had to collect. I was obviously made up.
  6. Welcome to TSF. Can't go far wrong with some britannias in UK especially
  7. If your phone has Google apps it might have "google lens" it is a way of searching via image instead of words.
  8. What did the seller say it was? Does anyone else read that as "copy" on the first picture?
  9. Not sure if you're looking to buy or sell one but. How could you not want one in the stack? 😂
  10. I paid almost 6% (5.8 or so) premium on mine a month or so ago delivered, 2019 with no marks or damage or scratches They're readily available closer to 10% but personally wouldn't pay that much. Big fan of the coin but at the end of the day it's bullion. Set a dealer email alert when they pop in stock there was a chap on h here who got a slabbed one at a very low premium ATS when they get stock or maybe HGM have had the best dealer prices I've seen in UK
  11. Grabbed a little bit of shiney whilst in town today
  12. Reading an interesting book at the moment. Interesting that a dying fiat currency can be dying for quite some time. The book which I haven't finished puts some interesting points... General public view the price of stuff going up not the value of their precious money going down and demand more currency not more sound currency When money dies is the book
  13. Is 7% premium a good price on these? (genuine question I normally just buy bullion coins)
  14. Basically a lot of words to say she is blaming the 'big businesses' 😂
  15. No... From capsules into tubes unless they come in tubes
  16. Welcome to the forum. You'll fit right in
  17. Great design thanks for sharing all, I'll keep an eye out for them popping up
  18. Ahh no worries I got excited about a 1 oz GS
  19. The Royal arms is a different design to the gold standard is that the wrong link? I've not seen the gold standard in one oz before now. I think there was a bullion quarter oz from 2016 which is nice but haven't seen other sizes from previous years
  20. Have seen the 1 oz here available for delivery after the 12th (today) lower price than RM I think. I've used this dealer for about half a dozen other orders usually takes them at least a few days to despatch in stock items (7 days on my most recent purchase) https://atkinsonsbullion.com/gold/gold-coins/1oz-gold-coins/2022-uk-britannia-1oz-gold-coin
