Absolutely... free delivery makes all the difference. Especially genuine free delivery. It's not always an illusion as some may have you think 😎

You should try to convince Royal Mail:

They are more expensive than us!

And there insurance is only £500, whereas ours is £1000.

For £1000 cover, they want an extra £1.

If Royal Mail can't / won't do free delivery, who can / will?

Whether free delivery exists or not.... there are some places that are still cheaper with the delivery cost than others. Cheaper with delivery overall is still cheaper.

Perhaps I'm misinterpreting this wrong James, but from what I gather from your above responses...Is that you appreciate a separate delivery cost added onto the item?

Royal Mail are not selling a coin, they are selling delivery and as such that is how they make money. If you want insured next day or uninsured get there eventually, you take your choice and pay as appropriate. You are a coin dealer, you have to pay for delivery, either put that into the cost of your item and have ‘free’ delivery, or add it on, whichever way you do it there are people cheaper than you for the same type of item. You go for the additional add ons that are difficult to put a figure to, but are great to have … great customer service, great help/guidance etc. swings and roundabouts, you pay yer money…..🤔

Chards don't sell postage, so following the mass logic, they ought to provide free gold coins with every delivery!

There are not many competitors cheaper than us for most of the best sellers, although...

Fred the fence down at the Flying Fox pub might be an exception, along with his near relation Freda the faker on Fleabay!

You guys have all got it wrong. Wait to see what Harrington & Byrne will offer. Last year it was £319 with free delivery, and they are so so friendly….!!  Honestly!🤬

You have a good point.

And their free advice is astounding...

Did you know Krugerrands are rarer than bullion sovereigns, and a much better investment!

As a show of hands who’s bought the 2022 memorial bullion sovereigns, from where and at what price………for study and scientific reasons only.

4 coins from Chards (2 sovereigns and two others) Sovereigns at £398.07 plus postage ……… so,…….. £399.57 each delivered

You'd think so, looking at the premiums certain dealers charge for older krugerrands!
