Room 101 for silver

Recommended Posts

I have been doing a little electronic window shopping lately looking for ideas and have come across some really random items made from silver. I wonder if there is much business in this considering the cost of materials? Here's one example, you really have to love your marmite.

The Royal Mint makes a few oddities itself.

Sterling silver penny baby rattle anyone?

Anyone for a sterling silver penny christening cup?

Surely everyone wants a sterling silver penny bookmark?

Or a Royal Mint sterling silver trinket box....

And let's not forget last year's Una and the lion Christmas decoration!

How much was the Christmas Dec? 😂

On the forum we have a good community of silver pourers but who makes these items still?

Those ones are all on the royal mint website still!

It's appropriate that @paulmerton has contributed to this topic, although he assured me he was not the same Paul Merton, the English writer, actor, comedian and radio and television presenter, who hosted the TV show of the same name.

Mind you, his contribution looks like he's in the pay of the Royal Mint!

Who would buy one of these?  If you wanted milk in your silver, wouldn't you just grab an old Maple?   #boom  😎

Starting to look at Christmas gifts again and found this.

My question is, do the wealthy eat tomato ketchup?

I like ketchup on most things, but not at that price!
