40 sovereign Set. £26,000. Your thoughts?

Hi I am interested it this is going to be of interest to anyway. I thought I may put my name down for a punt. However who do you think is going to, or would buy it off you if you won?

I don't get it ! Why would anyone want to pay £650 per bullion sovereign ! 

Could you not built the same collection yourself for half the price !?

What is so special about this collection put together by RM ? 

Please clarify and educate me if I've got the wrong end of the stick.

I wouldn't have thought this would be of any interest to you, given the Sovereigns are supplied with a lovely bespoke cabinet and not one cheap plastic capsule in sight! 😆

Maybe this coin cabinet idea will catch on? 👍

These are all BULLION Sovereigns, none of which are particularly hard to find. Most years can be bought close to spot. The special years may be a bit more. But certainly all 40 can be found at pretty much half the price of this advertised set. I must be missing something. 🤔

it seem only 3 sepical year.......For example, 2017, etc. Even the pictures do not have descriptions or mentions

 .. I think I prefer NGC (or even PGCS) over the box… far from cheap way protect coins.

I'm another who doesn't get the price point at all. It would be way more economical (and probably more fun) to seek out and collect them all yourself. If the wooden cabinet really appeals you can always take phtotos of it to a local craftsman and get it built for you. You'd save thousands.

The way they've framed this as something so desireable its worth entering a ballot just for the chance to win the opportunity to buy at that price is laughable. If the Westinster Collection went upmarket this is what it would look like.

When you can buy a similar box from them for £395 and collect your own coin's, it makes little sense. They don't even specify what each of the 40 Sovs are!!

You're all missing the point.

The MInt will have had to pay a few % points premium for these coins therefore they have to sell them at double that in order to keep up their profit margins.

This is the one to go for, buy a 2022 Bullion sov, about £50 of the box and trade on TSF for the collection you want!

Thinking of getting one of these for a set of the 1/4 Bu Tudor Beasts.
