I executed some milky completers same way too. I think even with spots i liked them more.

Going to be honest I thought you were either,

a) completely pissed or b) winding me up.

But just type into Google and up popped 100 videos on the process.

That's pretty cool and I've actually learned something tonight 👍👍

I bought a QB 2oz Lion from Arshi a few years ago that had this treatment. I quite like the finish on these but not the idea of smelly eggs

That's eggsxtremely useful in getting rid of unsightly milk spots. 👍

I'm going to give it a try. Wish me luck.  Hopefully, I'll get eggscellent results. 😁

I usually just give the old milk spots a quick buzz with the angle grinder. Soon has a coin cleaned up.

first time i tried it, it literally took a couple of minutes to start changing colour

For those of you who might not use silver cutlery and flatware at home, the tarnishing effect of egg yolk on silver is well known.

It is not oxidation as many online sources mistakenly state. The tarnishing is mainly due to a high sulphur content in egg yolk. This is almost certainly the source of the "bad eggs" smell, from hydrogen sulphide or other sulphides in human "emissions" after eating eggs. 😎

We recentlt photographed some silver Britannias with natural toning:

The 2013 above was quite pleasantly toned.

Which is more than can be said for some of the others.
