Bought this $5 from eBay for delivery to USA. I was curious and I don't really understand the coin or the slab. I will break it out and submit it to NGC.

Clearly this is not AU55. It's MS61 or 62! Why does it say AU55? Any ideas?

Just ordered 10 of these 1.5oz silver Snow Falcons from the Canadian wildlife series. I think they are absolutely beautiful.

1.5oz is a very nice weight - the same footprint as a 1oz but half as thick again. Feels nice to hold something a bit weightier than 1oz.

Sunday pickup an 1880 USA sovereign -- I mean half eagle

Today I picked another 1/10 oz gold eagle for me and I got a silver fiji coin (not sure what is called) and a 1909 vdb penny. The gold in mine but the silver and the penny are gifts for my son who is about to advance to the next rank in cub scouts. The penny I got for $5. I have no idea is that is good deal or not but it was bought on a whim. The kid is getting into pennies now.

A 1907 Liberty head half eagle $5 gold coin. I love the Indian heads - and never really been keen on the older Liberty head design -but decided I have to have one to compare....

Suspect it's been cleaned , but I will post pics when I get it. Not too bothered if it is, as it was a reasonable price - want one to handle and compare.

I ordered the 1/10 oz bar today , what condition and brand was it the one you received?
