The reply to the email I've sent was:

"Thank you for contacting The Perth Mint,

I have been advised that the 10 Oz 2021 Kookaburra was already released with only a small amount produced and is now unavailable."

I think they have no clue.

Oh gee what the hell?!

I’ll do some poking around and see if I can find you some info, or the coin itself. 😉

I see "We are currently unable to source these coins from The Perth Mint."

I did subscribed to several web sites including GS.be, EMK, LPM... they all have the item minus the stock, and with Release date either unknown or coming soon...

I do not like the design on the reverse of the Elephant coin.  I think it is a real design failure.

Apparently...

Placing two of these coins next to each other gives a full close-up portrait of an elephant. When several of these coins are placed next to each other, an entire herd of elephants appears. In the center, the denomination “FIVE RAND”, the weight “1OZ” and the fineness “Ag 999” are shown.

Honestly I can't see how that is going to work?

Also I havnt heard of a 5 Rand denomination?

5 Rand coins have been around for quite a while

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.

Yes, sorry I was referring to the denomination of the new Elephant coins (above) 50r au and 20r pt. I've only just seen that there is a 5r 1oz ag bullion version as well.

I still can't see how placing a few of these coins together shows the image of a herd?

Who's good on a computer that can show this image? Or is it a ploy to make us buy more..🤔🤔

All I can see is five coins!  I can't see the elephant herd.  I guess they were working on the basis no one would be buying a handfull of gold or platinum coins to test out their claims?

You can see the face of an elephant when the coins are side to side..its abit like the 007 coins when the 3 were next to each other the 007 appears across all three.

But agree...there ain't no herd insight...😆
