Sheffield has used a rose for both gold and silver from mid 1970s as the maker mark

That's the going rate for RM proof 1/4's...  I've bought a few pre-owned near bullion value just a year or two after release.  They aren't generally good investments but as long as the original owner got some enjoyment out of it that's what matters. 🙂
