Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

I would be uncomfortable calling the lion one

a bag mark. it's quite thick and not sharp, also

it's on a non raised area so more akin to a

scrape than a knock.

I agree with ss, very good find on the obverse,

but less so on the reverse.

Yeah, I kinda agree with you but it's on the hatched area, doesn't take much to flatten those ridges, could conceivably be done by another coin getting trapped against it by the rest of the bag. Difficult one.

Does this help to decide?

Unfortunately  I'm dangerous with a soldering iron.

I think you could do one yourself, I remember seeing  youtube vids on how to do it.

Electronics and telecommunications was my thing but don't need to do such dangerous activities now!

Two gold arrivals so I guess I am still buying in a limited way.

Firstly a very disappointing shield sovereign from HGM my first shield from them and being honest they should not sell coins like this with no warning...

Second is a beautiful 2010 1/10th proof Britannia one of my missing years for my registry set.

Overall mintage on the COA 3,000 compared to 295 for the 2016!!! Both years designs by same designer.

I have to agree :(

I'm usually HGM's biggest fan but sadly this shouldn't warrant a 15% premium. (I'm assuming here)

I trust they will do the right thing.

@morezone I'm surprised they actually delivered the coins without payment,I'd guess they've messed up (the PO that is) & you'll hear nothing I got a package last year delivered by parcel force with charges all over it from Oz & I heard nothing.

The problem with common sense is, its not that common.
