Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

Its just weight to me and bought on price alone to store money, will likely be for sale next time I need cash, if I remember I will tag you

Please do. A lovely coin. I normally only buy the 1/10ths and am a bit like yourself and try to buy off weight alone! Picked up an 87 and 2003 proofs for pretty much spot price. Gold is gold but if you can get a proof for a small premium then I think it’s worth it

That really is a lovely coin.

Let’s just hope they don’t do a second like they did with the gothic crown. 👑 … we know how much of a flop that set was over the previous 2 coins in the collection.

You can get them from Ikea.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.

The 2oz coins? That's handy.

Yeah, you have to press them yourself, but they do provide instructions.
