For the modern silver bullion, let’s not forget about the minimum Cost of making, selling, distributing them.
we always speak about % but the make a silver or gold coin the fix amount it cost to produce etc are the same. Only the metal is different.
so a 2% of an ounce of gold is 28 pounds. Way much than the premium on modern silver. The cost are more or less the same.

now, these costs are going down with older pieces which circulation already flattened out the production and promotion costs.

    Hole this helps a bit
well at least that is what I understand of it.

    Price is very strong.
Could be £1650 later in the summer when it hits the other side of this Andrews fork.

Asian public, China, India, Thailand and the like have historically (and still do) save in gold jewelry. Partly due to past paper currency collapses and partly as wedding traditions etc.
In Thailand the husband traditionally buys the bride (or her parents) gold jewelry. 23k investment grade too. If the parents get it, it usually passes back down to the bride anyway, eventually (this can depend on the family however). Luckily my wife’s family are relatively well off and she kept her gold 😀

    That's not the question.
The pressure is there for PMs to shoot up. The question is why have they been allowed to?

    Hello
I would definitely go for coin cabinet.

they are specialist and you will avoid any trouble.

The last auction had a 70 on the coin cabinet. I see them nearly every time... and they fetch above the 1000 mark.

I haven't come across a lot of these for sale and in stock since I started looking for gold, this seemed like a reasonable price (still with ~11% premium but I've seen a lot worse on a 1/4).
Also the coin that reminds us Sterling isn't backed by gold here for less than I've seen them recently:
    https://www.bullionbypost.co.uk/gold-coins/quarter-ounce-gold-coins/2020-quarter-ounce-gold-standard-25-coin/
Although weirdly I just watched the spot go down a quid but the price of the coin go up by nearly three...🤪

Now I am curious to know, how many, should the prediction of wronger happened (gold to 800 or even 1200), will excuses themselves very publicly? Or will they ignore it or find excuses ... like 1200 is far from 800 lol

only for this reason I hope his prediction happens.

Everyone has their opinions and hopes they either keep to themselves or express publicly. It's what adds to the fun and banter in forums like this one (especially this one?). I personally believe that if you have strong instincts that try to guide you then pay attention to them and act accordingly, but pay attention also to the words of others especially those with experience. There will be charlatans along the way with their own agendas but there will also be wise people offering sage advice that deserve to be noted. It is up to us as individuals to decide how to use the information we learn, and to decide whether to pass that information along to others or to hold it for ourselves.
Does anyone have the right answer? Maybe. Probably. But will we hear it amongst the multitude of voices?

    Also, gold rules.

Recieved a very pricey bit of silver! This medal was supplied with Patek Philippe watches on thier 150th anniversery in 1989 - I have not been able to find out if all watches had one or just some models.... Its 35 grams of sterling.. But the silver value is irrelevant in its value as an item in this case... Its two of my obsessions in one package so i had to have it! Plus i know i will never get a Patek watch so this will have to do
