    What I have received today...?
Of course, as all of you, the Council tax bill for 2022/2023.
And a beautiful scroll holder, solid silver .800, big enough to hold an A4 paper.😊

Yes, you right, the 1 OZ Henry looks small. And because i'm a good guy, i offer you to trade it with my 5 OZ silver Henry, i received today🤣. Seriously, you have a nice gem there, enjoy it.
After a long day in my office, i just came home. Two days off left a lot of work on my desk. Must ignore wifey now, 5 OZ Henry wants to met his minimies... Why they got all a different finish? Doesn't matter, great coins. Really the bigger, the better. Can't wait to pay the next 20 issues😅

A few coins arrived today… ordered 1+ months ago. Damn the RM seems slow 🤔…
Also not sure on the 1oz Henry the 7th… think the coins look small… should have flattened them more and increased diameter, would be more in keeping with design of original. What does everyone else think?

Had this delivered today thanks to @BackyardBullion. Absolute cracker of a coin but not so much the capsule. I'm going to be sending this off for grading. It'll be the first one I've graded so 🤞 it does as well as I think it could.

Hopefully the plain edge is visible

3 x portraits just arrived in the post. All look good, on first inspection, except...
Coins #1 and #2, which have consecutive serial numbers, were found to be in capsules which were open.
Coin #1 was stuck at an angle in the bottom part of the capsule, it required careful manouvering to get it to sit back correctly.
Coin #3, which was sealed in its capsule and quite difficult to open, had some particulate/flashing on the portrait side, but this was easily removed.
Looks like I'm adding these to the stack.

Took NGC 4 attempts to get it right but FINALLY received my 1998 full sov in PF70 with the portrait facing up which completes the set of the 5 Queen’s portraits the 1st year they featured on sovereigns (plus the 2016 James Butler Sovereign 😏):
    1957 Gillick MS65
    1974 Machin MS65
    1985 Maklouf PF70
    1998 Broadley PF70
    2015 Clark PF70

Would love to own the Gillick in MS66 but that grade is elusive. @Roy has given us the pleasure of drooling over the one he has, one day. For the Machin a lot of people opt for the 1979 as this was as the 1st appearance on a proof sovereign but I opted for the 1974 as this was its true debut, MS65 is the highest grade as well. Lovely collection for the future especially with the Queen’s portrait facing the front. Will keep these long term

Postman delivered some good gold bug feed today.
    1) 1918 15 Rupees AU58 back from grading via @CoinsOfTheRealmAuctions- great service, would recommend if considering grading. Overjoyed it hasn’t returned with a dreaded details designation (or worse, fake).
    2) 1912 Gold Canada $5 MS63 from the Coin Connection to go along with my 1912 Canada $10. I quite enjoy the story behind these coins. https://www.chards.co.uk/blog/the-bank-of-canada-hoard/1002

Today I received a pair of these 2022 Tudor Beast 1oz coins. Hopefully, I'll be able to put a couple away from each issue like I wish I'd done with the Queens Beasts.
Bullion grade because I simply cannot bring myself to pay up for proofs 😂.
Also received an epic Holy metal souvenier token in the mail, epic style points on the customs documentation 🤣🤣🤣. Looking at you @James32

Received my potrait today and 95% sure it's clean, bit of something/debris under lizzys neck but I can't get the capsule open 🤣 probably going back as I genuinely prefer the quartered arms.
If @Darr3nG or @SovereignBishop wants it at £rrp plus post then let me know soon.

You both make very valid points and it, sadly, all comes down to RM being a Monopoly and don’t they know it. They’ve got the U.K market by the balls.
I’ve tried to buy into the following:
The Great Engravers (after Una and the Lion)
British Monarchs (Henry VII and James I)
Successfully buying none. It happens, you win some, you loose some, it’s life.
But what RM have massively, hugely failed to realise is that they’ve created a new series with very little chance of being able to collect the whole series.
What they’ve also done is create a secondary market of ‘flippers’ (no offence to anyone who wants to sell for over buying price within reason).
Where do numismatists come into this?
Firstly, we don’t, not that I’m professing to be one.
But four releases a year, no way to sign up to the continuity for the rest of the series like they did with The Tudor Beasts. But do so with this series at your own peril, I abandoned The Tudor Beasts after coin 1 in proof.
In my opinion, four releases a year for four years with no guarantee of the rest of the series is a dead duck in the water before it even began.
Imagine that, four times a year for four years, the stress, the anxiety of a possibility that you might complete your series. If you don’t, you’re paying around double the original RM price.
It could and can be a good series but anyone hoping for a a full set, I admire you. Anyone just buying to flip, rethink why you’re here.
Go and look for the originals of these coins that have HISTORY, we fight over a reincarnation of the original and pay a premium and why.
If you ask yourself that question you’ll realise how rediculous it is. Paying more, in some cases for a reincarnation of the original than the original itself.
But in my opinion, pick your cards and play them wisely and I feel this series will have its ‘up’s’ and it’s ‘down’s’, some coins will really be in high demand others not so.
    Now, where are the sovereigns....
