    Hello guys and gals
So today I made my first piece of gold.
I have alot of 9k gold that my mum left me so before it goes off to the jewelers later today to be sold I figured I'd take a little and make something. The shells in silver have been so popular and so I figured this was as a good starting point for my Gold adventure. ( Also my Mum loved shells so sentimental as well) I won't be selling any currently as the hallmarking on 1 piece is to expensive and I'm not rich enough to be sending loads. Also I feel pieces this big just won't sell very easily. With a weight of 14g I'm truly in love with this

So i've been staying over at one of my very best friends while my bathroom was having a refit. A gold stacker to be sure so i thought while i'm here i'll be useful.
So yesterday i found his hidden gold stack! in an old broken vaccum cleaner, wondering if i could fix it i came across about 15 Troy Oz of assorted bullion 9999 gold. So i cleaned it  out and put the gold free cleaner outside for the bin men.
On his return from work he passed the offending article in the street and didn't notice it. I decided to casually tell him over a beer that the cleaner had been picked up and taken away, but he noticed it had gone when he went to get a bottle of scotch out the cupboard. He went pale then very quiet. Realising he had lost quite a lot of bullion i sat him down and told him that the broken cleaner was gone and that he would have to find another hiding place for his Oz's. He finally realized i had indeed found it and i was holding a little bag with over £22,000 pounds of bullion in it.
Not even a little angry he went away a hide it somewhere else in the house and said i bet you can't find it now.
Thankfully my bathroom will be ready on saturday!

I bought my first two sovereigns last month. I thought that'd do for now and I'd maybe add one or two more over the next few years. Nope. I'm at it again already and bought another two sovs this month. I'm feeling a bit gold feverish

I don’t have an end goal in terms of ounces, just a strategy to keep stacking gold and silver.
I’m 40 years old now, and if all goes well, I will continue to stack until I’m about 60, then sit on my stack for a few years before starting to “de-stack” (or “un-stack”?); liquidating it all gradually and slowly over a period about as long as it took to acquire it. If I reach 80, there would be little left by then.
If I die of old age, I don’t plan to leave anything as inheritance for my daughter (except perhaps what would be needed to cover the costs of my funeral) as she will be well into adulthood by that time and hopefully more than capable of taking care of herself without any further help from me. The most important “inheritance” I will be passing on is to teach her to be independent and self-reliant, and to follow her own path, just as my parents taught me.
However, if I die pre-maturely, I would want everything I have to go towards her upbringing and education.
In the meantime, whatever I have will be there as insurance, and if I ever get into some kind of personal or societal crisis I have it as a backup.

Not with my silver though after the tragic boat accident.

    4 million ozs 😳🤯

After me and my wife will go, our children will sell/keep her jewellery and my coins. All the other stuff we have bought in a long life will go to the charity shop or bin.
Only precious metals are lasting forever, doesn't matter if are recycled sometimes.
Gold is sun, silver is moon.

A Brown's bottom would be one way. Lots of western nations dumping gold on the market and announcing it loudly before they do it. The price crashes down to the bargain basement prices of old and Putin's purchasing power would be massively diminished.
But which nations with all the massive inflation issues are going to want to do that? I bet the nations that sold their gold (like Canada) will regret it in the long term.

adamantio999 got a reaction from Rains in How is inflation effecting you in 2022?
Tesco and Sainsbury, in just a year.
400 gr pork sausage, from 2.5£ to 3.15£, which is +26%
500 gr pasta, from 90p to 1.20£, which is +33%
Loose oranges, from 30p each to 35p each, which is +16.6%
Gas and electricity bill goin up +35% from the 1st of april.
But don't worry, inflation is transitory.
