Just bought 2x Full Sovereigns from Gold Investment. Never used them before. Decent price at £611.

Lovely untouched 1951 Festival of Britain Set arrived today, not a scrap of Silver in sight, just Copper, Brass & Nickel but my favourite arrival of the week.  Thanks to @Becca for the lovely Half's and also my Son and his Girlfriend posted over to me their Silver Three Graces  in preparation for Grading.  The Silver does complement my other Son's Gold.  I'm still waiting for my Silver to turn up 🙄
 


 




 

Got the coins today. Massive props to sharps Pixley! Ordered yesterday, got the coins today. 
I asked for a random sov, and a QE2 pre decimal sov. 
Got a 1980, and a 1965, both pretty much uncirculated. For £308, and £311.
They send them free too, special delivery. In slips, in a nice large velvet bag. 
Highly recommended.

Another Three Graces - cracking job from the mint and quality control looks great too.

I’m sure there’s going to be a few of these posts today. This is the 2oz silver. Seeing what happened to fellow forum members with cancelled orders I can only count myself lucky. The Royal Mint need to find a solve for this as it’s not good. But I must say the pictures don’t do it justice, its a stunning coin. The Royal Mint get a lot of flack for their quality and rightly so but they definitely gave this their care and attention. Lets hope they continue with this level with all coins moving forward

Harrington & Byrne now doing their gold sovereign for £329. Doesn't seem like that good of a deal considering gold has dropped so much but these would have been snapped up a month ago.

First ever auction win, paid slightly more then I maybe should have but at £380 delivered still not bad. Mainly purchased due it being the 2016 gold standard coin first version to come out. 
I have the 18,19,20 gold standard coin versions.   
 

And there's some still up for sale here with higher prices than most dealers. 
Dealers have been forced to lower their prices, private sellers have not and want top dollar

I know this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I think in the long run this will be a key sovereign to get hold of in collections given the portrait only used in 2016 like the 1937 (I wish 😂). Only 7500 minted as well. Got the obverse to face the front on this one which isn’t usual for NGC

Two beautiful coins today...
a 1911 Proof sovereign, that I won at the tail end of a random auction, hazy and difficult to judge, has come back beautiful, in a very high grade, very special and one of my favourite portraits:


And below is a true rarity, a Henry VIII 1544-47 Half Sovereign in what I think is superb condition considering its age. Doesn’t currently demand the attention of its larger brother of the same era or certainly the Henry VII Sovereign, but this is the first ever half sovereign. My thanks to @richatthecroftfor being a sounding board and supporting me during the purchase of this coin. Ive gone from tears to jubilation, certainty to uncertainty and back again many times and no doubt driven him slightly crazy 😂 EDIT: for those interested there is clearly a Pellet in Annulet on both sides, putting it at the Tower Mint and either type 2294 or 2295 from my reading of Spink (I'm not sure if I see a annulet on the inner ring of the obverse at 11o'clock or not, if there is then its 2295)
