Ordered these on Sunday during the slight dip.  Picked them up from the sorting office tonight.  2020 Oriental Border Britannias, and a 2020 Double Sovereign.
 
 

Actually received yesterday from @kneehow2018- bought from him Monday morning- a steady, dependable 1/2oz Britannia in its OMP.
Bought as a reward to myself for resisting, and not allowing myself to be drawn into buying one of the 5oz Silver James Bond 007 Silver Proofs- it took a fair bit of resisting, nice lump of Silver.
Beware FOMO. 


 
 

Picked up these bad boys today from sharps pixley, the highest I’ve ever paid for gold but How can you buy gold and not be happy about it regardless of the price you paid for it.

Regardless of gold price variations over the past week, still managed to pick up a wonderful 1907 $10 Liberty Gold Eagle before the prices jumped way up, this one joins another 1907 I also have...


Also, just as a show that I still procured during the recent gold highs...a very nice 1899 $5 Liberty Head Half Eagle. Surprisingly, this also joins another 1899 Half Eagle already in the collection!

I have repatriated this 15th century treasure back to the UK from a superb US seller. The photos don’t do it any justice, its absolutely stunning and I’m very pleased!
For those interested, it is an Edward IV Gold Ryal or also called Rose Noble only minted between 1464 and 1470 and the year in that period identifiable by the mint mark in the legend, which on mine is a little difficult to ID but its a Long Cross Fitchée, if in any doubt (see the close up) there were no other crosses used in the period they were minted. This mark puts it as minted between 1469-1470, making it even rarer, only just before Henry VI was restored to the throne. On edwards second reign the mint started producing Angles which are entirely different design. The coin was minted in London, identifiable as no letter in the waves beneath the rose / kings vessel.
7.61grams of gold and approximately 35mm in diameter.
Side note: The coin was also imitated on the continent in the mint of Gorinchem for around 100yrs after this date (and also thought during Edwards exile in Belgium), these are often referred to as a “Flemish Ryal”.  Identifiable if put alongside each an original, one difference being the continental copy is often slightly larger in diameter.
NB, if anyone is wondering what the lump of dirty metal is in some of the photos, its an original brass coin weight for the Ryal that I was able to pick up from someone that had found it in the Thames mud. It was only a few pounds but I though makes a nice collection.

I have listed 1oz gold coins for spot in the past at much lower than today and get no takers
It seems the 1/4oz / sovereign / half sovereign / 1/10 is the "sweet spot" for forum sales, im my experience
Someone is willing to risk a few hundred quid on a forum deal, when it gets into the four figures, not so much. It's just how it is 
Speaking for myself i would just go to a reputable big-boy bullion dealer and pay the £10-£20 extra for the security it gets 
i.e. you always know you are real deal without risk when buying direct from Royal Mint or Baird

Received these beautiful lumps of Gold in the last few days- a spotty 2011 1 Onza Bu from Atkinsons, I should add that I was aware of the Spots prior to buying- but at +3% it’s worthwhile  getting the wire brush out. 
The 2016 & 2017 1/2 Onza PP’s from @muenzdachs thanks Sören.  The two 1/2 Onza Reverse Proofs from  Emanuel at @RoslandGold.
The imposter is the 2018 1/2 Onza Bu, also from Rosland- a bit of a miscommunication with Emanuel saw its arrival - but the replacement 1/2 Onza PP is on its way.  Just working out a way of raising the cash to keep the Bu- great sales strategy Emanuel 🙄😂

Today I received my 1904 $20 liberty head double eagle from Atkinson's.
Here's my collection of pre-1933 US gold and silver.

I believe this is the UKs smallest official gold coin. 1/40th Britannia face value 50pence. I have had them in packs before but never in hand.

A couple of bullion coins at spot.  Bullion is a refreshing change for me. Something I can fondle! 1oz 2014 Eagle from @goluckystayhappy and a lovely 1910 sovereign from @Domo which looks a beaut to my untrained eye. Thanks both! Thanks too are due to @Oldun for his words of wisdom

Received two Gold coins from Chards today, 1 oz Gold Britannia 2008 (+4.25% spot) and Mexican 50 Pesos (+1% spot). Final picture all the coins received this week (averages just under 3% over spot) and I am still hunt for 1 oz Gold Britannia 2001/2003 and 2007 to try and complete date run 1 oz Gold Britannia's that have unique designs in bullion.

Not PMs as such but will hopefully help me find some when I visit Tyndrum for a holiday next year.  The missus will go trail running and hiking with the dog while I prospect for gold.
