Orphaned from an extremely rare 1923 Proof South Africa Set- a lovely chocolate coloured Bronze Penny, nicely toned, a nice Plain edge and just about as struck.

I bought a pack of the sovereign cases yesterday funnily enough, and they arrived today. They look the same but I haven't tried them in the boxes yet.

If you buy the ones that are in the bullion category, they will have free postage until this black Friday nonsense is all over.

I have seen that, but I am not sure they are the same as the ones they use in their sets or just ones you can buy off the shelf?
They don't sell any of the screw type capsules at all.

Today i bought a year 2000 brilliant uncirculated quintuple sovereign with a mintage of 1000, never seen a double let alone a 5 pound piece:) big purchase for me.
Oh and a 2000 bullion sovereign. 
Now I must save my moneys for a while as im broke.

Welcome to the club, the only thing limiting our collections is the threat of bankruptcy..lol

Love the vintage safe, I'm looking at getting one and making it into a side table with a glass table top.

Finally received my 2022 Proof Sovereign set. All seems to be good 😀
 

Yet another piece of Napoleonic silver - this time Italian 1811M 2 Lire - much better than the grade suggests, clean fields and lots of lustre. Might have regraded!
 

Slowly ticking these off the off my list. The 20th Anniversary of Ghanaian Independence gold commemorative coin. Though produced by the royal mint historic Ghanaian coins are hard to find. They pop up in auctions around Europe from time to time do when I see them I grab them. Have a couple arriving next week then I’ll just have 2 outstanding. Off to NGC this goes to be preserved
