I realise the herd has moved on to the Gothic release- but for anyone who continues to follow the beloved Sovereign here's something that you might be interested in:
 
I did this exercise initially on the 20/11/2021 and last on the 29/11/2021 (results below at the very bottom of this post) and updated today Saturday 11/12/2022, I've repeated it - so you don't have to!  
 
Using the search term '2022 Sovereign' on eBay on Saturday 11/12/2021:
 
Significantly- there are still surprisingly few,  in terms of the amount of 2022 Sovereign issues for sale (all denominations and sets).  The figure of live sales on eBay has doubled since I last completed the exercise there are currently 83 sales posts (Previously 41) using the search term described above. 
5 Coin set- 5 Sales ranging between £5795 through £6995- Average sale price- £6348- NO FURTHER SALES
4 Coin Set- 2 Sales ranging between £3250 through £3750- Average sale price- £3500- NO FURTHER SALES
3 Coin set- 4 further Sales- (previously 7 Sales) ranging between £1249 through £1500- Average sale price on 4 sales is down- £1337   (previous average £1391 on 7 sales)
Sovereign- 17 further Sales- (previously 27) ranging between £675 through £799- Average sale price on 17 sales is down- £737- (previous average £762 27 on 17 sales)
Half Sovereign-  11 further Sales- (previously 13)  ranging between £369 through £424- Average sale price on 11 sales slightly down to - £408 (previously average £416 on 13 sales)
Sovereign/ Half Sovereign combo- 1 Sale at £1300 NO FURTHER SALES
 
Not a scientific or absolutely accurate view of how the 2022 Sovereign is progressing, but I'm sure those invested in them will be encouraged by this Special Release's performance.

Pistrucci’s classic George & Dragon on a Silver Crown (£5) is a thing of the past and I think the last time it was used in this denomination prior to this 2013 issue, was on the 1951 George VI Festival of Britain Crown?
This Lovely Crown arrived today- it’s to commemorate ‘The Royal Birth’ (Prince George).  
Opening the box up was a delight 😃 

Despite the high mintage these are few and far between on the secondary market and prices of them can be eye watering.  
This one wasn’t too inordinate, price wise, it’s starting to tone- which the seller explained and the photos were terrible, which might well have put some of the competition off in the eBay auction.

This makes me really want to get to S.America, I've always been drawn to the continent but not gotten there yet.

Sent in to NGC 8 coins from the recent 2021 morgan and peace dollar commemorative sets and got 6 ms70s and 2 ms69s, best part was all three of these came back 70s.
 
 

Bought an 1803 large 3 draped bust for my raw album a few months ago but the quality was nagging at me, I though it was too good to remain in a 2x2....so I took a gamble and sent it to NGC....expecting maybe an f15 of vf20 cleaned or even environmental damage and got this back...not bad for $250.
 
 

I don't normally go for coloured coins, but hey, it's Christmas!

Picked up these two today which completes another tube! Only got a couple of these victorias so pleased to add it to the stack.
Tubes hold 17 Sovereigns which is pretty much bang on 4ozt. Off to the the SDB tomorrow, will start a again with an empty tube!

That coin was cheaper, than the OMP of the RM Una right now ...
2021 St. Helena Masterpieces 2 OZ Una and the lion by the EIC. I like it

 

Just got this PF 70 today & although I'm not thrilled by this starting design of the Tudor Beasts, I had to have it as I believe/hope forthcoming issues of this series will be better. I know from experience missing the 1st couple from a series can be both a frustrating & expensive mistake when hunting them down later.

Agreed on the 2012 Bullion Sovereign- the design simply didn't work on the Bu

Although there are many nasty looking coins- This is by far my worse nightmare- imagine dropping £2k for this horror story...

With eyes diverted toward the Gothic and 2022 Sovereign releases, Rich goes old- school, snipes around the defense and…Goal……!!!!  Hits the net with a 2002 Sovereign Set 😃 
I’m still on the hunt for a 2012 5 Pound Sovereign, so in the meantime the 2 Sovereign down will have to suffice.

Very good advice from experienced members above.  For Wreath Crown, please only buy from trusted dealers or members here, as there are way too many fakes in the market.
