Off to NGC to give it a proper dwelling!

And my 3rd purchase this week which complements my earlier purchase nicely was one I’ve wanted for a while. Picked it up in the @CoinsOfTheRealmAuctions. Shout out to @Clockpuncher and @Elements for alerting me to its availability. Definitely my new favourite coin in my collection and quite possibly the best sovereign ever. I think its only right I get the 2SOV to keep them company no?

Today I received an 1896 Half Sovereign, purchased to mark my 25th birthday as an almost-birth year coin!
It looks like the previous owner polished it at some point, but I'm still pretty happy considering what I paid 😊

Arrived today. What a beautiful set.

2010 Royal Mint Silver BU One Pound   This unassuming little fellow has been a quarry of mine for some years - and I had never actually seen one for sale/auction until this weekend.   Although the RM stated a maximum mintage of 50,000, only 1,544 were actually issued.   Between 1983 and 2016 a total of 113 different silver £1 designs/formats - proofs, Piedforts and Sterling BUs - were produced. All six of the 925s were "shields" and are dated from 2009 - 2014.   My own collection now stands two coins short at 111, just the 2012 BU and the 2014 proof still to be snaffled. 



 

Just tiddlers again for me, 2 more gold 1/10’s I’ve been waiting patiently for from @BleyerBullion and Melissa been keeping me updated.
Last but one sovereign finally added to my sovereign date runs. Just a pair of 2007’s now if anyone has any willing to offload.

I received a good old bullion Britannia.  Atkinson taking around two weeks to deliver.  Placed an order for another on the 11th so should be here by month end.
That is also the first time I have used the super macro function on my phone camera.  Next one I get I will see just how close in I can get the picture.

A bit of an impulsive buy. The price was not low enough for the usual PAMP bar, so paid very little extra premium for this great design.
