a lovely 1824 1/2 sovereign replacing a one I sold and regretted.


and a modern coin I have admired since the mint released them earlier this year in the annual set and just thought I would be unable to acquire for a reasonable price, then this one came along, very happy ... has absolutely no place in my collection other than I think it lovely

This little beauty turned up today

I have previously picked up this beautiful Gods of Olympus Poseidon Coin. I sadly missed out on picking up the first designs of this beautiful Gods of Olympus coin series. I am hoping to go back and pick it up at some point in the future.

I should avoid my local high street when only visiting town for a short trip. Picked this 1912 half sovereign earlier in the local bullion shop. 

Last year I wound everything down with the final purchases of the QBs gold bullions.  Then recently the QB completer came out so had to grab that as well and that should have been the end.  But...there was one coin which I should have picked up years ago but there was always something else to buy so I'd always put it off for another day.  Over the bank holiday weekend I decided to make one final purchase and here it is.  I already have the 2, 2.5, 5, 10 and 20 but just needed this to finish off the set. Unlike it's little brothers which are stored away and haven't been seen for years, this beast is going to be my fondling piece which will sit at my desk.  Hopefully the .900 alloy will hold up well otherwise it'll end up getting a bit dinged and scuffed.

Received this today. Very happy with it, unfortunately had to pay more than RM price but @Chrisplym was a pleasure to deal with. Great packaging and also very fair and reasonable with the price - enough room for both of us to feel happy with the transaction i hope.

Wish I had better photos but I’m really pleased to have completed one date run mission. This 07 completes my sovereign date run from birth for my eldest.

£3 Gold Face Value   Two rather pleasing pieces from @AndrewSL76 at a most amenable price.   My first ever double sov after 38 years.

The world in 3D, as in three displays,now only the fourth dimension to get, only $2000, might get two...lol
 
 

I had been looking for a suitable presentation solution for my Maundy collection that’s housed in Quadrum Capsules and found these ‘Leuchtturm Volterra’ on eBay sold by Dauwalders. A Nice way to display coins in Quadrum capsules.  
 

 

I love these Smartmintig coins in High Relief and the mintage is also manageable.
What I find funny is the mintage of the coin and my certificate number.
