Been doing some paper workings out and random number crunching and brain droppings in light of Tuesdays launch and drawing some comparisons, so thought i'd share them

I would try to get the biggest you can afford and sit on it. 
Try for a five or a four set. Split, grade. Hope for 70s.  Keep the biggest and sell off the smaller to pay off your costs. Fives will always do well in the long term for steady  appreciation

Do we think it's right to assume it'll be done in Matt finish? Like the 2022
Think it will be equally nice in Matt as it will in proof 

I am almost 100% certain it will be a matte proof as that’s how they’ve done the £5 BUs since 2018.
Just IMO… the matte finishes are far superior to the proofs. The 2022 SOTD, for example, is really a terrific coin to behold. It’s almost iridescent in certain angles. I think the matte finish works particularly well for intricate designs.
Good luck to whoever can afford and manage to snag a £5 BU.

If this is the design it’s going to be an absolute bugg*r to grade and I can see many failing to get 70s. Too complex and too many chances for issues!! 
Plus, imagine that decision on the 1/4?! Going to be like miniature art on a pin head!! 
The dream would be to have a mule of that design with the JC QEII obverse. Not an impossibility….

I sincerely hope they don’t do this.
The original Crown may be rare with a nice story to it and all, but let’s be real, this is hardly a phenomenal design.
I still hope the RM will do some of the really iconic but rare St. George and the Dragon designs.
 
 

Received my 3oz custom dice from @BackyardBullion. So tactile! This'll be just about the most expensive stress toy i've owned so far. Love'em!

So after my disappointment at being told I was getting a refund instead of a replacement, I had a mystery delivery number sent to me from the royal mail.... It turned out to be this absolutely pristine, completely defect free piedfort sovereign directly from the royal mint. I had it come a couple days ago but I wanted a couple days to make sure it was as clean and as sharp as it seemed at 1st, 2nd and 3rd look. I'm over the freakin moon needless to say. Now I have to decide if I want to grade it or keep it "pure"
