On Friday, I used my trip to London to attend the Brexit demonstrations to get my first Shield Back Sovereign, in the Hatton Garden area.

Took the plunge and bought this 1701 William III 5 Guineas fine work. 
Quite pleased as you don't see too many around

I got these today, Nice little set of Ukraine silver banknotes, 9 in all. Can anyone tell me anything about them , they are 7.78g or 1/4 ounce. I have seen the equivalent 4 ounce ones but nothing on these.

Something I'm going to try and do more often when posting photos on here is to include something common for size comparison so I included a 2p.
Precious metal photos always seem bigger than they actually are in real life to me. It's not a complaint just something I've noticed. My brain can't work it out ha.

An 1858 shield back half sovereign from my local bullion dealer in town. Her neck is scuffed but for the cheap price I'm not one to complain. Could have had a nice clean crisp QE2 but that wouldn't be as interesting.

Received these today...a bit different.

Had this come through the door today. It is a commemorative set of Canadian quarters that was released in 1992 to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Confederation. Each quarter features an image chosen to represent one of the provinces or territories that make up Canada. This is a special one for me. I remember these quarters coming out in 1992 and trying to collect all of the cupronickel versions in change. I wasn't even 10 yet when I started collecting them in 1992 and it took years to get them all through change but this is the first set I ever collected. There isn't a lot of value here due to how many were minted but it is a very nice thing to have in hand. Lots of nostalgia for me.
