kimchi got a reaction from LemmyMcGregor in Gold Monitoring Thread £ GBP only
I stand to be corrected (and there are obviously other factors) but I believe the big traders will be moving from one to another (also going long/short), making as much as they can each time.

Fine looking coin. The series doesn’t excite me like the Monarchs series, but the London coin is very nice. I’ll probably stop with this coin because I am putting my resources in the Monarch’s series, buying a 1oz. and 2 oz. silver of each.

I received my 2 oz. silver City Views yesterday. Nice coin, but the capsule was loose. No apparent damage to the coin.

According to coinnews, this is a cooperated release by the RM, Sovereign Rarities and Numismatica Genevensis SA.

Can't find nothing in the NGC Census, but i guess, we will see a couple pregraded coins again

This is an 1874 London a few before and after the process, not the best condition young head but a nice coin and it's turned out well.
I took a before and after next to a graded coin to try and show a benchmark.

The coin cabinet are introducing a buyer's commission. I'm not sure when this will be introduced but if is has started then it's possible this might have influenced the size of the bids.

Who else watched the Coin Cabinet auction today?
Some right bargains were had there...
5oz Three Graces for £1100
Some proof James Bond gold coins under spot.
Did you spot any others?
Bargains or a sign of the state of the market?

I might just prefer platinum!
But 80:1 plus is cheap for silver.

Let's not move on too quickly. I'm still enjoying this comment from Bully.
For what it's worth, my favourite comment about smoking is from Blackadder Goes Forth: "I only smoke after sex. So back in England, I'm a 20-a-day man." - classic

Never tried the vaping thing. Fortunately I packed it all in well before vaping was invented or I'd probably be stuck on that now. Tried to quit lots of times using all different fancy methods and techniques but in the end just chucked the packet out the van window one day and said to myself I wasn't going to do it anymore. It worked.

What do parents expect? They make you spend the first few years of your life being taught about money and how to spend it and then give you money and expect you not to spend it.

Haha, that's exactly what I did with both my own and my sisters "Britains first Decimal Coins" sets - you remember the one which came in a little blue wallet back in 1971. I spent the lot on fags.

Here is a work around which I found helpful. I actually bought coins albums for my nieces and nephews, and I wrote their names on it. Then I put the silver coins inside the albums and I secure it with staples so it does not get removed (and of course I educated them about the value of these coins and that the value would increase year by year; so when they are old enough and they want to buy a house or car; those coins will be helpful to them).

Kids being kids they would probably do what I did when I was given my dads 'coins of the realm' collection, as they were still in circulation I spent them. On a comic, a packet of Space Invaders and a Strawberry milkshake.

I'm personally stacking for the future. I'm planning to hold my precious metals for 20-40 years. I think they are the best method to protect against inflation.
Also remember to gift your young relatives with some bullion coins from time to time on their birthdays and Christmas time. Those coins would appropriate in value throughout life.

"US" is often used as slang for "useless", so having a US production facility has two possible meanings.
😎
I don't know what cheap sovereigns we have in stock at present, which is possibly good as I often know about things which are good, bad, or different, as distinct from "normal".
I do know we have been getting new RM bullion products much more quickly since March / April, which is both good and different.

kimchi got a reaction from Roy in Royal Mint bullion quality issues
Well, now Lawrence, you present me with quite the problem here, as I have no idea what you mean, due to your horrendous writing!
Is this post still part of a (presumably) quoted passage that you never used punctuation to indicate was closed?
If so, will it ever be closed? Will the circle be unbroken, as Johnny Cash so movingly and adeptly, put it?
Is 'Someone' a friend/colleague/acquaintance? A strange name, perhaps, but then, recalling the likes of Man Friday, we all do our best I'm sure
Likewise (or, rather, contrariwise), have you failed to capitalise 'ambiguous' here? Is it in fact a person (possibly gender unknown)?
Oh! The mess one might leave behind, when one leaves (departs, flies, rejects) common sense in English, whereupon should art be only one's behind!
Anyway! Got any cheap Sovs for me at the moment codger?

Reach out to Chris and get it noted, not sure how much he can actually do. But like leon says if he's paying a membership then he hopefully has all intentions of coming back, although strange behaviour none the less! still want to believe its an unfortunate emergency, but as every day passes that looks ever more unlikely.

kimchi reacted to Leonmarsh in Help? Seller AWOL after paying.
Personally I would be letting Chris know, maybe there is something he can do? Is he still paying his membership? And so on
