Received the first of my two orders at the European Mint today. Had to plough my way through 8 layers of tape before I could open up the box, but then you're in for a treat. 😂
Honestly, I must say I'm not overly enthusiastic about the state of some of the coin capsules, some will definitely need to be replaced. Not sure if that's a normal thing to happen at the European Mint, but it will make me think twice before ordering with them again.
Luckily the coins themselves do appear to be in good shape, so all and all I am happy enough with my 1 Maple Red maple leaf, 3 Queen Anne's, 1 Perth Mint Homer Simpson, 4 landmarks of London, 1 Canadian Lynx, 1 Canadian Superman, and 1 Niue Darth Vader.
Excellent mixture Nice.

Some of the latest Silver series received...Fifth in the series, the 2019 China 1 oz Silver Chihli Dragon Dollar Restrike (PU) is patterned after the original 1903 Chinese Silver Chihli Dollar.
And also, the next in the Rwanda Lunar Series...sticking with only Silver BU for here on out with this series, as growing dissatisfaction with their annual designs. Welcome this years’ Rataroo...2020 Rwanda 1 oz Silver Lunar Year of the Rat BU.
And finally, this years’ Gruffalo...The Gruffalo and the Mouse 2019 Silver Proof 50p.
That collection is growing, very nice coins.

I also like the Rwanda coins very much.
I finished the Lunar series to collect the African Ounce and the ship coins. The two gold coins shown are the exception. There you must already have a lot of money over.I just realize I am in the wrong thread because the coins I have not received today but it has been a while ago, please do not be angry about it.
Great design, I like it and understand why you bought them.😊

Today I received a very special 1898 Sovereign. It’s special because at the start of the last century my Grandad and his school mates in Mid Wales were all gifted a Sovereign each by David Davies of Llandinam(still waiting for confirmation of which one as there were several in the same family).
My rough maths work it out to be a weeks wage at the time! Can you imagine the local lord, lady or modern equivalent going on to the local primary and doing that now!?
More updates to follow when I get more info.
Thanks for sharing 🏅

Without seeing it in the hand, I would probably give it a PR62, though there appears to be some scuffing on the Obverse which may affect the result.
My advice is always to check your coins with a 5 x loupe which is what the graders use. That way you see what they see.
Thank you I will do, a 5x loupe. Cheers I didn't know what magnifying loupe they used good information.
Cheers gazer.

I think it is particularly well worth grading if you think it its gEF- aUnc condition notwithstanding its 117 years old, 15k mintage and less than 2.5% of them graded by PCGS & NGC combined. I have the Matte Proof Half which I bought from @shawy2510 and would like to acquire the Sovereign too- nice buy.
Hi richattecroft
Here are the photos I promised best I can do. I haven't got a clue what they will be like.

Photos not got the best detail, but if the Sovereign looks in great condition- then why not- can’t do any harm.
Thank you I don't think its the best as a few hairline marks, but the rims and details are excellent. I will be disappointed if not at least ms60. I'm out at present but I will try and upload better photos. Cheers gazer.
