Absolute belter of a bar at under spot price too!! 🤯 At the end of the day the forum can be very much dog eat dog at times sellers are free to sell to who they want, it's a shame the op felt inundated with rules and advice.

Yep It was a lovely bar and as mentioned prior, The seller can sell to who ever he wants.

    What will it cost ?

    So based on todays prices

    • 1oz gold Britannia = £1650
    • 1 full sovereign = £385
    • x5 sovereigns = £1925

    This works out as follows

    Daily cost:

    • 1oz gold Britannia = £1650 / 365 days =  £4.52 per day
    • 1 full sovereign = £385 / 365 days = £1.05 per day
    • x5 sovereigns = £1925 / 365 days = £5.27 a day

    Weekly cost:

    • 1oz gold Britannia = £1650 / 52 weeks =  £31.73 per week
    • 1 full sovereign = £385 / 365 days = £7.40 per week
    • x5 sovereigns = £1925 / 365 days = £37.07 per week

    Monthly cost:

    • 1oz gold Britannia = £1650 / 12 months  =  £137.50 per month
    • 1 full sovereign = £385 / 12 months = £32.08 per month
    • x5 sovereigns = £1925 / 12 months = £160.41 per month

I think @Paul your costings on the initial post explain why myself and a couple other have decided to purchase already. At the time I bought my 1oz Brit at £1,850 it was under spot.

Anyway, To close April out  I have already bought as part of this Christmas savings club, pushing me in to the red. As and update I bought

    1oz 2014 Britannia @ £1,850.00

    1937 sovereign PF63 @ £3,000.00

So my spends for the savings club outside my normal collecting are £4,850.00.

To date, From the proceeds of clearing out sheds and surplus MTG Collection I have made net sales of £1,481.20

Leaving me in the red for -£3,368.80

@Sovhead Not sure if you have blocked me but you have not read the message I sent you 2 hours ago and show as left conversation on any previous pm exchanges we have had.  I did message you on the original sales conversation too as I did not at first notice you showed as left conversation.

If you are not happy with this coin you are welcome to return it and I will refund and cover the return postage.  Alternatively as spot has dropped I will refund the difference from what you paid and your advertised sales price (plus the postage you pay to ship to the buyer) as I cant imaging this will not sell at spot posted.  Could the next person to read this please respond to it and tag sovhead as I am not sure he will see this if he has blocked me, I do not like the thought of someone being unhappy with a coin I have sold them and would like to see this resolved and make sure the buyer is not out of pocket.

@Sovhead Not sure of what has transpired but any and all deals I've had with @Orpster has always ended with my complete satisfaction. Send him a message.

Should I go for half sovereign or full? Would like to know people opinions.

Think @James32 hit the nail on the head. In so much as the half's have a slightly higher premium. I would add that when I started the full were easier to come by. Not sure if this was a local anomaly to me or not. However, there are more variations of the full over the half so date runs might be easier to find in the full sovereign over the half. Certainly halves become rarer the further back you go, especially for certain years. Another good idea if your going to concentrate on sovereigns is to pick up a reference book.

I have this Image result for the gold sovereign series It's proved worth it's weight in fiat.

Will you send the 89 for conservation and grading or not bother?

Most likely not bother for the time being. At some point in time I would love to fetch the collection together and work out a way to store them but still be able to display them, so they can be viewed and enjoyed. Hoarding them in a small box in a vault seems to me to not be doing justice to them. They were in essence a coin for circulation.
