ArgentSmith got a reaction from YMC in Royal Mint - Great Engravers 2021 - Gothic Crown information
Maybe off topic but on a more macro level money has started to rotate from speculative assets into value assets, this type of shift in trend can last many years.

I believe once the Vicky gothic comes out prices on the first release will gain value..but always once the first release is issued prices inflate, flippers ask an extra £300-400 in the first few days hoping to make a quick profit...a small percentage do but then their is a stalemate and you see flippers lowering their original prices..I've been offered these coins for around £200+ lower after a week or so because they can't shift them..and on a personal note I'm glad as I detest flippers who buy to flip for greed....

Everything is too worn IMO to be worth much more than scrap. The exception would be any 1903 1904 1905 coins.

Wasn't entirely sure where to post this (or indeed whether) but there's a 1oz platinum proof jubilee coin available from the koin club for a not-too-outrageous amount considering it has an edition limit of 170 (maximum mintage of 180) and sold out PDQ.

ArgentSmith reacted to SilverCH in Why are people stacking Silver over Gold when there is a VAT on silver?
The 20% tax is only a killer if selling back to dealers who pay out based on the spot price. If I buy a rare £30 silver coin and then sell it for £100 on ebay 5 years later I don't need to charge VAT as a private seller, premiums are high in the UK but therefore you can also charge the same premium when selling on the private market (hopefully). However due to VAT I don't 'stack' generic bullion silver anymore I try to buy more proof/rare sets that I hope will become more desirable in the future. I prefer silver for collecting on my budget as its more enjoyable owning and hunting for hundreds of interesting proof coin sets compared to a couple of small gold coins!

ArgentSmith reacted to Pete in Platinum Queen's Beasts completer!
Many thanks @paulmerton for notifying us fellow stackers of the new Completer in Platinum.
Just ordered mine.
The RM website is not very rigorous as this coin didn't appear at all searching for platinum nor on the section for platinum coins.
It does now, but earlier today it didn't exist yet your link showed it instantly.
Bit of a panic set in though when the RM blocked my account pending an annual review apparently.
Always worth checking that if you have an account that you need to use urgently that it is still active.
Whilst the checks were being made ( no idea of timeframe ) they wouldn't even permit me to place an order over the phone.
