Nice coin but £766 seems steep with spot+vat at £704.

Yes, but if you compare it to Gold basically getting nearly 2x the amount of coins for the same price with huge upside potential.

On a plus side platinum is relatively available still and currently affordable to most people even with the dreaded UK adding VAT

 

As Chris just said almost twice weight volume compared to gold omg I've just realised it's another gateway drug 😀😋

One thing though, since you pointed to GS.be source in previous posts. Do you have purchase experience with them? In opposite to EM, they have terrible opinions... They've got some platinum available (?) right now but I'm personally really afraid if it's a safe business...

One of the major impacts that the pandemic has had on me as a stacker/collector is that I’ve switched from bullion to more accessible numismatic coins. I’m also thinking of platinum. Neither numismatic nor platinum coins were on my radar three months ago. However, they were always part of my emergency backup plan, my plan B, in the event of some major unforeseen event disrupting the gold and silver markets.

goldsilver[.]be is a well known PM dealer use by some of the members of this community. 

Personally I've use them only once (bought some silver) and stop using after they started charging 55€ to deliver a 20€ silver coin (just crazy).

Personally I wouldn't just be buying 1 coin at a time from anywhere net alone one who is sending from a different country

I always buy in large  quantity to spread the cost of the delivery, the photo above was just an example.

Yikes, why was it so high? They charged me like 30 recently to buy 100 coins, so no idea why it's so high there for 1!
