Recently just purchased my first safe in my late twenties, really sleek and modern. But honestly I quite want an old timey vintage safe now. Looks great!

Arrived today- thanks to @Allgoldcoins for the fantastic service and packing out the coins to ensure they got to me in tip top condition 👍 

The 5 Coin Set Looks fabulous alongside its 4 coin smaller brother, and that 5 Pound is sublime 🤩

This came in a jiffy bag today. 
Fabulous old safe, fully operational and weighs an absolute ton!
Not to mention a sight to behold. 
Will need a wee touch up and a clean up inside. Little project I'm looking forward to! 
 

Anyone else have that strange old feeling, following the build up to a big release of feeling a bit strange. I just had another look at the three coin set I bought and they are sat on the desk next to me. Love them to bits, but it feels like I prefer the thrill of the chase! Haha!

I bought one of the 1oz Silver Proof Seymour Panthers and then changed my mind and cancelled the order. However, it was too late and the Mint sent the coin out anyway. I was going to return it, but then thought - hold on! - perhaps someone wants to buy this anyway, and as I was going to make a donation to Parkinson's this month, figured why not sell here to a fellow forum member and use that money as the donation instead?
Anyway, it is not the most sought after coin, but if someone wants a really nice example and to know that the money is going to a good cause, then please read the terms and conditions below and happy bidding!

Starting Time and Date: 11.10am. Monday 15 November 2021.
Starting Price: £5.00 plus postage (see below for postage details)
Charity Donation: I will donate the total amount to Parkinson's UK. If the item sells for £95.00 then Parkinson's UK get £95.00.  
Ending Time and Date: 18:00 Friday 19 November 2021. Note that the Silver Forum will automatically order posts based on the order of posting. The order on this thread will be the order of bids made.
Set Increments: Minimum increase of £5 please.
Winning Bidder: The winning bidder is the person who has made the highest bid at the point the auction closes. My capsules cracked and chipped on mine but coin is fine will be asking for another capsule.

It's happening. Why soon after the 2022 Sovereign, my bank account can't take it 😅

OK.
Wow - on a few levels.
First, love the design in the flesh, its incredible. Second, the size of the big coins, stunning. 
HOWEVER
Quintuple sovereign capsule was OPEN 
There is a scratch/ding/frosting issue on the edge of the coin as a consequence. 
HOW does this happen.
This is SO bitterly disappointing because it is an issue that is so easily remedied compared to the cost of making or selling these sets.
I will be sending this back and INSISTING on a replacement/reminting of the coin. I do not want to miss out on such a stunning coin and I hope they will take this seriously. 
Makes good content for YouTube I guess, but I would far rather good coins.







 

I thought this but the royal mint stated that the only way to get the 5 sov is via the 5 coin set (screenshot attached) so I think as its a special year the additional will be gifted to key royal dignitaries, diplomats, commonwealth countries, presidents that fly in etc around the jubilee celebrations. With full sov being more plentiful they will be gifted more widely whereas the 100 5 coin sets will be reserved for the more "important" folk (and 10 of each for Trial of the Pyx of course 😊)

I have been a member for a little while (with well over 100 posts), but I did not realise that this part of the forum existed until now, so I thought I ought to put myself on the map here as well. I must say that I have greatly enjoyed the forum and have been much enlightened (and sometimes suitably entertained) by all that members have contributed. Many thanks to all.

Hi thanks for accepting me on this forum..I have been a lurker on here for about 2 years ..and bought my first Silver that was the 75th Anniversary VE day Piedfort £2 then bought a silver Britannia..about that time I bought some sovereign bullion and was completely hooked on the gold stuff..since then ...I'm now looking at buying some proofs along with billion and try and build my proofs up a little....
Anyway I wish everyone all the best and let's hope gold goes up to the £1500 mark soon in the New Year ..

I posted these pics earlier in the 'Today I received' thread, but thought I'd share here too to answer some questions.




For anyone who is concerned regarding their order:
I ordered the Full Sovereign and 3-Coin set.
Both ordered before 9am.
Payment has been taken in full now and order shows closed 
Also worth noting that I had two seperate Royal Mail tracking numbers / emails and they arrived in seperate parcels (at the same time ofc).
All in all, I'm extremely happy with this release. I had a quick look at them up close with a loupe and couldn't see any major imperfections on the coins, just some scratches on the capsule and some dust / lint. 
 

Received my first ever proof coins today! Extremely happy, the £5 sovereign is a delight to behold and really brings out the detail!
Though I fear this venture into proof coins will prove addictive for me going forward, help!
