Mintage of silver 1oz is said as 2010, while in 2 other dealers, it said 3000. Don't know which 1 is correct. Bu the way, if it is really 2010, it is way too close to 2oz mintage.

Love that 1967 series, it is simple but beautiful. I just purchased a 1967 BU set as well. The modern 2020 2oz canada goose silver coin is also one of my favourite.

In 1915, 16 penny, there are recessed ear variety, don't know if have the same in sovereign.

I don't have 1 on hand, which i wish i have. But i think i won't touch it, "deus" seems not alright. I also don't know how to say in Chinese for Gothic Crown😅, just have a search at LPM, they translate it to 哥特體克朗😅😅.

I think mintage n design determine the value. Collecing a full set of kookaburra must be a marvelous achievement, but will have a big effort to collect those years ago issue. I thought about this years ago, but think i am too late to do so.

Think so. by the way, craftsmanship at that moment is much much better than now, maybe due to cost consideration. All things now are just flat.

A lovely example, and that's why collecting is so interesting with many interesting varieties in a single year, especially in earlier Victorian coins. This interesting 1861 shilling is with VI"C"TORIA over C as well.

Weird, as long as comparing 1 sovereign and double sovereign selling by the same dealer, the double should be cheaper. However, at this moment, not many dealers are offering 2022 double sovereign, so maybe it distorts the pricing.

I also think the Gothic design is a masterpiece as well. Look at the original Gothic Crown after 100 year, it is still a gorgeous piece of art.
