Agree that 1872 is one of the easiest day that can be started with, won't cost too much and able to buy a decent Gothic Florin for pleasure. To me, the Gothic Florin is one of the most beautiful pre-decimal coin, especially the 1849 Godless one. However, price go up in past few years, which make me have no chance to add one more to my collection.

I remember it's mentioned the obverse will be KCIII after turn of the year, so wait n see. Pairing 2023 Britannia with different obverse i think is a nice collection idea.

If spot or premium go a bit lower, I may buy for collection purpose only. Before year end to have QEII obverse and after year end to have KCIII, which may be not too a bad idea for a year 2023 Britannia collection. However, the 2023 sovereign is also tempting, so may have to sacrify either 1 in view of limited budget.

Gold miners prices are not necessary moving in the same direction and % as the gold price. So, if you think gold price will go up, better to buy gold not miner, to avoid for any disappointment.

I just received an impaired proof coin from an auction house. Capsule of this half sovereign is unable to screw, and upper and bottom half of the capsules are wrapped with Scotch tape to prevent it from falling out. I would like to learn what cause the haze around letters GRA, and whether it's possible to remove. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Super weird decision on pricing for such a big corporation like RM -
I'm sure it was increased to 105 for 1oz silver proof days before, which i commented before. How come it's resuming to 95 just few days after? I think RM may find it's wrongly priced days after launch? Super weird. Anyway, if purchased at 105, either ask for refund of 10 or return n buy a new one at 95.

How come especially in view of dropping silver price? I remember in 2 years ago when silver spot was at USD17, the 1oz silver proof was priced at least GBP20 below 105 (please correct me if I'm wrong). If this is the new norm for RM future release of 1oz proof, i will definitely cut purchase in the future. -
For appreciation purpose, double sovereign is my choice. Liquidity wise, sovereign is more common n welcome, coz of its smaller lump sum. However, one sovereign usually come with a higher premium than double.

I think quality of Unc or about will make it highly desirable, however i also have no idea about valuation of this rupee. Indian coins go up by a lot in past few years, and as per my local dealer friend, he is accumulating nice quality indian coins, n invest for let say 5-10 years from now on. for type of reverse, there is a link in the numista page, http://jfcampbell.us/india/victoria/rupee-rev.htm...see if it's useful. -
