You can buy copper bars in various places e.g. Amazon. I must have a look at the copper spot price per kilo. Also need a garden shed to store it.

Yes, you can (see below for an example).  They're an oxidation process, chemically different from milking on silver, which is a reaction involving surface contamination on the silver from borax-based flux.  Gold would not normally oxidise in this way, but if there are impurities in the surface you can get localised electrolytic effects that cause the gold to oxidise.

You can remove them mechanically, and there are youtube vids on this but be careful not to scratch the coin and don't do this with proof coins as the surface is very delicate.  The material making the red spots will decompose at 160°C so they can also be removed by heating the coin with a blowtorch.  Backyard Bullion has a video showing this process.
Note that it's also possible for .999 coins to pick up specks of contaminants from the dies and environment at the mint and to develop red spots as well, but this is less common than .900/.917 coins.

Exactly, As my illness wasn't listed and I had a small rental income. I was told the 2 payments I had were really a good faith payment and that I wasn't covered for my situation. They then had the brass neck to tell me it was good cover when I cancelled the policy. Best to find out how much the insurance costs. Then save it as cash, silver, gold. Even wine gums would be better than the insurance policy.

One important distinction with bullion is that there is no statutory right to return it within a 14 day cooling off period if you simply change your mind (that's nothing to do with it being coins, but rather due to the live pricing). They will (or at least should!) still replace bullion that is not of satisfactory quality.

I dont think it will, but I am sure its grossly undervalued & required for a lot of stuff going forward into a tech revolution.

A bit of both is the way forward - buy on the pull backs & think long term.
I have not bought any gold since 2021 & that was when i started buying it.

If this person is 13 YO he has a ton of time, but i am wondering why he would be worrying about inflation?
If I went back and gave my 13YO self some advice it would be:

    - dont worry about little things & love life & be creative & free
    - invest in yourself little and often, laugh and be positive
    - set up income streams that require little or no attention (ie a managed business)
    - concentrate on your passions with every ounce of your soul
often the money flows in without trying negating the last bullet point.
    - buy silver, gold, tangibles & invest at the right time in equities.
    - sing and dance & exercise regularly
    - girls fancy you & you wont even realise - make the most of it but be sensitive & respectful.

You will pay this VAT if your friend will send to you.
If a visit in US is planned for future, it is better to wait and to bring them with you in your luggage, between your clothes. If it is not a big quantity, nobody will ask you.
I have never travelled from US to UK, but from Europe to UK it is possible if it is a small quantity of silver.
But do it only if those rounds are not available to buy from forum or UK dealers and only if you really want those special rounds.

If that was Thatcher, may she rot in Hell, I would buy it. I would stick it to the toilet pan so I have something to aim for whenever I used it.

I have just received four one ounce silver rounds , originally Canadian, which, including Special Delivery, came in at 28GBP each. The items, in great condition, were purchased from a TSF member.
There are many items that I would love to purchase but I would rather wait and purchase from here rather than deal with the aggravation of importing.

Today I took delivery of four rounds of one ounce silver produced by Keith Neumeyer's First Majestic Silver Corp. I am also a shareholder in the company, I wonder if dividends can be paid in silver at some point :-).

I can't think of any podcasts but, for easy to understand information on gold an silver, I would have to say that there are many decent YouTube videos. I would subscribe to the Backyard Bullion channel.

Welcome. As you know suicide among men of a certain age is the number one killer. More male suicides than death from road accidents. No one is immune from those dark places, more so than in the last few years. It can and does affect anyone and every one including myself. God bless.
