  1. Yep got the despatch soon type email although not sure when I'll get to collect it (delivered to a friends as I often miss the postie) looking forward to seeing what people are unboxing next week 🤑
  2. If they know their numbers and have a typical lifetime customer value it could be good business even if one coin is a loss leader or only breaking even, after taking into consideration the fixed costs. Purely made up numbers but say it's effectively costing them £5 to send us our bullion sovs but they make £200 profit off an upsell and 1 in 20 take the upsell then the model would be profitable... That's without considering reoccurring purchases etc maybe between us SF members less take the upsell but maybe general punters from the press advert are less clued up are more likely to take an upsell and a fancy box etc
  3. I missed a call earlier. When I returned it it was H&B but got their voicemail. Whilst I shouldn't be getting any marketing calls perhaps it was a courtesy call regarding my order. 🤔
  4. Something that I didn't see mentioned yet and whilst it might be a deviation from your plan, if you have the time, sell some smaller bits and pieces on the forum to build some feedback first. Whilst I'm not really interested in selling my gold in the short term, moving on some items every now and again just builds some feedback for when I might need or want to sell in the future
  5. If anyone isn't sure you can log in on their website and go to 'account' and adjust your 'communication preferences' in there.
  6. I think it depends on the country. Silver to go and coininvest were relatively low postage cost but if buying a larger order then goldsilver.be works out cheaper. Another I used for a single order was kraatz-endelmetalle in Germany. Haven't used but... Try Europa bullion too perhaps?
  7. A few countries have done away with the 1 and 2 pence equivalent. I think New Zealand is one I remember off the top of my head. It's hard to do much with them in UK like paying them into a bank or spending them even in bulk to be fair
  8. If you don't hear them spitting their coffee out over the phone then your offer was too high 😂
  9. Probably just stumbled across a couple of monster boxes full in the brew room behind the custard creams
  10. I thought it was a high tech security feature
  11. They're nice coins I believe the 5000 mintage to be correct yes
  12. The pandas are silver and gold. The silver is actually 30g rather than 1 oz and in gold they have 1g and 20th oz and up https://www.bullionbypost.co.uk/gold-coins/gold-panda-coin/
  13. Pandas make a good gift too with being different each year
  14. Yes different items depending on who though. A mates lad loves anything 007 related for eg the silver bars are ideal there
  15. Cheers Bully. Much rather be eating some left over turkey than looking at charts 🦃
  16. I noticed there was more movement than usual first thing pre London (from the Asian session) Got the popcorn out for US open 🍿 Look at oil 😬 Btc and eth also doing opposite to Gold
  17. As the saying goes... it's better to be years early than a minute too late
  18. I often just casually nip to my local coin shop too sell 700000 oz of gold. Sometimes twice a day 🤔😂
  19. Welcome to the forum. I'd say it's worth buying from a reputable dealer at least initially until you know what's what. Not worth trying to save a few bucks buying from someone you don't know or hasn't got a track record. Look for established members of the forum in your area too maybe for a purchase
