Pressure to Grade

I've heard so many nightmare stories on grading companys who have a tight relationship with some dealers who get automatic PF70's - MS70's because they are friends/Aquantices with the grading companys...I believe its an in house...who you know to get the best grades possible.....

If this is the case and there are so many nightmare stories, then I’m sure the authorities would want to know that a fraud exists.

Corruption and rife is the normal in the USA...and if you think PCGS n NGC are exempt....you are surely mistaken......Money talks..bullshit walks..having a Brother-in-law that's works for a USA grading compa..I deff know what I'm talking about...😐😐😐

If you have this type of information/evidence of a fraud, then you would be doing the whole coin collecting community a favour by reporting it.

Again, drivel and snippets you have gleaned in your short but busy time on this forum and compiled into utter nonsense.

Well guess I'm completely  ignorant as you seem to be an expert on all coinage...May I have the link to your precious metals empire so I can purchase some of your merchandise  ...

Thankyou for your negative comments...drivel and snippets seems to be the extent of your vocabulary..I thought this forum was to express our own personal views on pm's etc..without being abused..Guess I was wrong..but !!! No sleep lost this end sir.

You’re welcome, but hang on, while you are feeling sorry for yourself, this started by you accusing me of someone “…who want[s] to achieve a greater premium on their coins than they are really worth...(Greed)”, so not only greedy, but a fraudster because I grade.

If you are going to quote me @CollectorNo1 then why not contextualise my quote?

Of course you are entitled to your opinions- and since you ask, here's my view- you have stated or implied that you have some evidence that you know someone on the inside of a grading company that is aware of a fraud- you posted the allegation of what sounds like a fraud going on and posted it like you know that its a fact.

If it is a fact, then I personally think you should report it.

Central bankers are politicians disguised as economists or bankers. They’re either incompetent or liars. So, either way, you’re never going to get a valid answer.” - Peter Schiff

Sound money is not a guarantee of a free society, but a free society is impossible without sound money. We are currently a society enslaved by debt.

Then I won't apologise for my view that your analysis and conclusions on the subject of Grading were ill thought out and poorly considered.

As already stated in this thread by numerous commentators, there are a plethora of reasons why people grade coins.   @jultorsk made an excellent point of choosing to buy a pre-graded Wreath Coin- it provides confidence when putting down hundreds/ thousands of pounds of your hard earned cash on a coin.

Greed isn't the first thing that springs to my mind when I see someone having graded a coin.

I would possibly get a version of my regular coins as slabbed for the novelty value. Not wanting to overpay much though.

Same reason I slabbed this and the only reason is because its the second finest known example. Of a cali gold fractional in the world of that year

It's the size of a little finger nail so grading helps storage and authenticity for me nothing more nothing less

Just gave me peace of mind
