Hey - those sets are like rocking horse poo! Can’t get them but I’ve managed to get a set elsewhere. Basically I’ve gone all in on the 2 coin sets - beautiful reverse and proof coins. 🙏

They sell anything they still have in stock

I think the RM was referring only to the “memorial” issues.

They weren't. Every 2023 dated coin with the queen on it went off sale at the stroke of midnight - as expected because before that they all had the aforementioned text explaining that they wouldn't be sold after 2022.

The royal mint is not where I expected the next mis-selling scandal to pop up!

Ah yes you’re right. I confused that with the memorial issues being unlimited mintage until Dec 31 2022.

The cut off didn’t apply to bullion for some unknown reason.

Just the commemoratives, not bullion. Everything on https://www.royalmint.com/collect/archive/2023-uk-coins/ suddenly changed to no longer available at midnight, I was almost impressed by their efficiency for a change!

To then start selling some of them seems a bit shady.

They sold a load of the unsold memorial stuff to BBP and other dealers so it can still be sold to end customers during 2023.

The bull of Clarence 2 coin set is back in stock. I have one in my basket but it won't let me pay and I can't get yhrpugh on the phone so maybe someone here can get lucky if there's a lot of people finding it hard to pay

Also... the panther 2 coin set is still available as well

I checked my collection and I’m not sure why, but I got 1x of the Panther and 2x each of the Lion and Yale. I had forgotten l have duplicates. 😆

The duplicates will come in handy down the line if you're collecting.  Any you might miss could be traded for one earlier in the series. I wasn't going to buy this for me to keep but if someone on the forum needed one I had one handy but as I can't get through on the phone or get the website to take payment I can't do it. With only 500 they won't take long to go. Probably already could have if the site wasn't playing up tbf
