Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. So today I received , although it should maybe read today I made my first buy and possibly my first newbie buy (Royal Mint), however I still feel quite pleased with myself as it is the first bullion I have ever owned.

Wait for it ...........

A full gold Sovereign and X 2 Britannia's (Silver) via the Royal mint, I won't bore you all with photos as I am sure you have all seen them before.

First impressions and probably normal ones, was I was surprised at the size of the Sovereign , however it was still a special moment to hold one (Newb)  on the other hand I was blown away by the Britannia coin , although not a proof coin it was stunning to look at out of the wrapper and it has left me wanting more.

I am not sure if I am now to become a stacker or a collector or a combination of both, I have enjoyed reading the advice and post's from member's here and now I have taken the first step into Silver/Gold I am itching to learn and own more.

Thank you if you took time to read this.

Kind regard's

Deadwood

Congrats Deadwood for your first purchase! Welcome to the club of part-time-collector / part-time-stacker.

I am now more collector than stacker....stacking got very boring very quickly.

As for the Britannias you purchased, which one is it? In 2015 alone, there's this version ( £50 for £50 ) (which I like very much):

and there's this version:  s-l1000.jpg

Also, are you familiar with the 2014 silver proof Britannias as seen here?

I received my Queens Beasts yesterday, the UPS man/woman signed for them himself/herself and left them on the patio so I had to come home from work in my dinner hour and put them in the house.

I take it that they are not supposed to do that.

I also received a 5g Gold bar from HGM and it was a PAMP Suisse one in a blister pack which I am happy with.

My 2015 Panda Lunar Goat antiqued version arrived today. They produced 99 of these babies and it's a beauty.

The Rooster will be on pre order in the next few days and I will try to get an allocation at a good price for anyone who wants.

Thanks to Mondy41 for a lovely 1990 1/10th gold Panda. Will let NCS conserve it I think.
