Lovely piece today

I've been collecting old circulation 80% Canadian for a while now. I got four dollars in quarters and five AU/BU dollars. 

Due to covid-19 I've been waiting on some of my silver to arrive for months so I haven't been able to post anything until now. 
Silver has gone up since 🙂

My humanity has been restored in DHL.

This set is greatly undervalued given the little-known fact that it contains two very rare coins. And not the ones one might expect.
Another very attractive 925 example imo - and therein lurks my silver shieldback £1 quarry. Just two more to find.

The increasingly elusive silver proof 2009 1oz "Kangaroo at Sunset" was the first time this design was available in this weight. The F12 privy was succeeded by the F15 in 2010-11, and the "Kangaroo in the Outback" issues of 2012-14. The mintage of just 4,000 was the lowest of the 12 BU and Proof coins.
 

A pair (4th & 5th Effigy) of ridiculously low mintage (10 each) platinum 5p coins (1/4 oz each), from the 2015 platinum proof sets.

Working through to the back catalogue of silver BU Pandas...these two being the most recent additions, and the oldest ones I have ...

I bought these to bulk out another purchase, but having received them these are quite beautiful. 

Another fractional gold addition to the stack. Emirates this time

1844 Crown now just waiting on my 1937 crown to arrive and then the set of circulating crowns from 1800 is complete! (thank god the Gothic crown was a non-circulating coin!)
With a mintage of just 94,200 this is the scarcest date of the young head shield crowns (non-proof). The reverse shield design is remarkably similar to that used on the half crown but is slightly narrower.
The inescutcheon featured on coinage by William IV and George IV in the middle of the coat of arms was removed and instead the shield stood bare. This was because Victoria, by virtue of her being a woman, was unable to become Elector of Hanover so the inescutcheon had to dissapear from the coins
Despite being pretty worn and dented on the obverse, the reverse shield has a beautiful rainbow toning to it but as usual the camera struggles to do it justice.
