Noticed a while back that the Gold Standard coins seemed popular on here. I've seen that the 2016 (original) coin is now at around 9-10% above spot on BBP. Hopefully this helps someone.

Yes they are reliable but the quality of Coins is sometimes poor.  If buying for weight shouldnt matter

Still too expensive with postage for bog standard philies these will come down in the coming months

money is leaving gold to go back into equities, good job figures on Friday and no negative news to bring the market down, suggests Gold may continue to fall down next few weeks.  I think it will easily hit 1.2k then Q4 when the real unemployment comes to light will go up again

In the Morning I get a Taxi to work and pay the driver £20, the Taxi driver goes for breakfast and tips £20 to the waitress, the waitress goes to the hairdresser lunch time and tips the hairdresser £20, the hairdresser goes out to lunch and tips the waiter £20, the waiter goes to the Barber's and tips the Barber £20, the Barber has the shop windows cleaned and pays £20, the window cleaner goes for dinner and tips the waiter £20, the waiter gets a Taxi home and pays the driver £20, there has been £160 of GDP created, there has been a velocity of x 8 on the £20, however there is still only the original Currency of £20, no additional Currency whatsoever has been created, therefore Inflation is exactly the same at the end of the Day as when the Day began because you simply can not have Inflation unless the Currency supply is increased because the Currency supply simply does not  exist to support any price increases whatsoever.    
Not only has no Inflation been created, no wealth has been created either, GDP is a complete Hoax, Currency Velocity is a Hoax, the entire World of financial Academia is a Hoax!
I notice there is a Farmer here, I bet he understands this far better than any Financial Academic who has been brain washed with complete and utter non sense from the Hoax financial Academic world of lies! 😁

Little impact from small holders selling a few coins.
Gold fell because market investors are jumping off gold and back into equities. Largely reacting to vaccine news.

Should be? Based on what analysis? Certainly nothing from the linked article.  To be able to say we should be at some price, we could point to some structured maths model that shows this movement leads to this price target with such and such probability.  But we dont.  
S&P dropped near 50% from the high, while gold dropped 15%, so its position as safe haven is looking pretty good isn't it?

Silver bars still attract VAT in Europe. It's only currency that's exempt. There are a few odd exceptions, e.g. the Fiji coin bar that has a currency value.
