Portrait arrived just now…..capsule loosely on (see photo) and thankfully away from the coin so the coin was undamaged.
I was able to take the whole felt base out of the box, ease the capsule and coin out and EASILY secure the lid on properly, all of which which logically leads me to the following conclusion:
that either
a) they are very lazy at the Royal Mint or
b) the capsules are not fit for purpose for sending coins by mail.
 
As mentioned in a different thread, I will not be purchasing any more coins from The Royal Mint until I have seen actual change and improvement in either a) or b) (whichever is applicable).
 
I have been a customer for almost two decades. It is a great pity that I have to do this but I am quite happy to spend my hard earned elsewhere until the Senior Management actually does something about it, rather than having to listen to the Royal Mint just talking a good story but doing nothing in reality.
 
The phrase, “Actions speak louder than words,” is entirely appropriate here.

According to this video, the RM can produce 100 BU coins an hour, so to produce 1,200 coins would take 12 hours.

@westminstrel credit where credit due the RM reverse frosted coins are stunning!  

Just mindboggling how The Royal Mint condone a comically poorly packaged  £500 product (let alone more expensive) to be sent out just to save a couple of pence on a bit of plastic. Call it what it is…lazy and cheap.

Are those double boxes available to buy from rm the 2 gothics would look stunning side by side in a case like that

I cannot believe that these coins have not had the better ones picked out!! 
I also rsceived the silver 2oz portrait coin today which like the QA coin appears to have been packed in a talcum powder factory!! The capsule was open on the portrait and I will certainly never buy another silver proof coin frtom RM again. Gold only which shows what quality they are capable of producing. I believe theseto be the remnants after picking for grading or dealers possibly. Never again. 
Why can I buy Perth mint nonproof or Munich mint products such as the Somalian elephants at a fraction of the cost of these proofs with quality far superior?? 
The silver portraits we have seen on here today looks like the trainee dept have been left alone with no supervision! 
Very disappointing, pre selected silver coins I suspect, and not for me!

It wouldn't be inaccurate to assume that i couldn't exactly tell you the RRP, or if i actually did or did not know the RRP before purchasing on the secondary market...That may be partially or impartially correct, or incorrect. On the contrary i am possibly more or less sure the Mint sold it cheaper to a dealer, and i am possibly or not possibly rejecting the idea that i am, in no way responsible for my financial decision's, based upon my prior, or not prior knowledge, i undeniably do or not know what the RRP was you see. How could i foresee? Do you understand now @James32, or do i need to repeat myself?

My set is complete! To say I'm very, very happy is an understantment 😂
Few bits of dust on the capsules I've not cleaned off yet, though the coins are perfect.

2022 1oz Bullion Ronseal   Nothing to get too excited about in this wee collection, although it is good to see that both the Elephants' legs all reach the ground. So much more fortunate than several African leaders who disagreed with the 'flu-like pandemic that never wrought havoc across the continent. Their refusal to deceive their own people most certainly did not result in their assassinations. Just accidents, coincidences and "covid". They were not hanged for their opposition.   The Kook is good but does lend more than a nod to the 2020 RAM WMF 1oz coin. The vast majority of both 2021/22 Kookaburras are believed to have badly damaged and deformed, this following encounters with Queensland Police when the coins were being transported across State boundaries. Just doing their job.   It is well worth picking up a New Zealand 2020 Penguin. I agree with many that it the pictures do not to its 3-d effect justice. At around £30 and with a mintage of just 25,000 it is considerably better value than most 2022 bullion. Having been under 25,000 miles from somebody who coughed in 2020, most of the issue still have another 12 years quarantine still to complete. Coins are not legally allowed to be reimported to NZ due to the menacing risk of mass extermination of the already extinct bird.   The Maples continue to portray ERII in the most beguiling of fashions. She must be well chuffed. The only surprising element is that fascist Dictator Justin Castro didn't insist on the coin bearing his own portrait. This before he went into hiding from the Canadian people.   The Philly is yet one more Austrian Enigmatic Variation and can now only be purchased upon production of a vaccine passport, the sporting of a fylfot and the bellowing of three "Sieg Heils". Rumours of a forthcoming "Yellow Star privy" edition have not been confirmed.

Dings,scratches and milk spots on coins. Capsules left open. Poor quality presentation cases.
The rm is not a luxury goods company. They are the same type of company that Del Boy Trotter used back in the day. Remember the size of those mobile phones?
Rolls Royce, Bentley and Aston Martin are prestige companies. 
audi, apple and the royal mint are NOT!
If you want to eat in a macdonalds, burger king or kfc then go right ahead, I won't be bumping into you when i'm eating in Miller & Carter or The Ivy
A company that says they are quality is a company that does not believe in their product, and one to stay away from.
1000 years of c**p is not true but sure does look like it most of the time.
