Agreed Kimchi 👍 and if the liars cant hide it and have to reveal a controlled elevated inflation % number, the actual real inflation will be multiples higher.

No reason to panic IMO, just a good opportunity for those so inclined to maybe buy a little at the lows.
It's around 13 years now it was globally decided the way to deal with what was essentialy a bank credit crisis buy extending babks even more credit, so the best solution IMO is simply to keep some money aside to take advantage of the global crisis when this whole facade finally reaches an inevitable and for many, painful conclusion.

That is one way of looking at it.
My take is that on 16 July at 4am there was a sell off, Gold was round £1319 but it only got it down to £1310 and its bounced back up, which  would’ve been prior to yesterday. Silver got hit big time though and still is (smaller market?). Was the plan to hit both Gold and Silver, who knows 🤔
 
I just think something is struggling to get Gold where they want it (down) to deflect the huge inflation issue. Will Silver drag Gold down or will Gold lift Silver? We wait and see.
I know nothing 🤪 and there are some very knowledgeable people who may have a more definitive outlook.

I like Platinum and have a position with Bullionvault. I have always found Bullionvault has worked well for me (though there is a third party risk, I'd be more concerned with it being an easy target for some new government regulation/capital controls). I guess the issue the OP has is the cost of transaction in switching between vaulted/fiat and physical coins especially with the VAT situation here. I had always avoided buying silver and platinum coins for this reason. It was only when I found this forum late last year that I realised that there was a good potenial to buy/sell peer to peer thus avoiding vat and transaction costs.

I'd be quite interested in making a market for platinum coins, I'll write a separate post about this later today.

What about liquidating and use the funds to buy Platinum via Bullionvault (VAT Free), then just pull out what you need to buy physical when you get here?

the mere prospect of inflation is enough to get people buying again, and that's probably why its so widely publicised.
that's not to say however, there is no inflation, in many areas it is massive. This is due to imbalances in supply and demand, of goods, services (finding retail/service staff) and transport (containers in the wrong places). these might become permanent.
There's too much cheap c**p nowadays, that we could do without, for the environments sake. For example, most low-end electricals break and need replacing each year. Unfortunately, this affects lower earners more as they have to keep replacing the fridge every year for example, and end up spending more in the long run !

Well at least the Coin actually arrived....
However, its the Wintertime Snowflake version.
Unsurprisingly, it looks like it been returned previously and RM just put it back out again as was. Box is dated March.
Hard to determine what the “snow” is. It could be fluff or its looks more like plastic swarf, plus a couple of hairs in there too 😳.
The capsule is a twist lock and surprise surprise it wasnt locked on and the top just lifted off as I opened the box.
Not surprised, but really disappointed that RM just sent it back out again, which is pretty poor as no attempt at quality control (other than reduced price, also unstated why on web add) to rectify the original issue. Probably should’ve been rejected after being returned. 
 
It is a beautiful coin and having now seen it, would certainly wish to have one in proper condition.

However, as a caveat, I also believe it is also how the silver is processed during the coin minting/pressing and not just the silver grade quality.
As an example RCM Maples are 999.9 and are/were notoriously bad for milk spotting. Anyone got bars with Milk Spotting?

Yes of course a silver blank is a silver blank, but quite often proof coins are made using specially prepared blanks, which may be pre-polished before striking, this would never happen with circulation strikes, and unlikely with bullion or Brilliant Uncirculated strikes.
