  1. I really dont know how @very452001 even managed to buy an ounce in the first place with price fluctations!!!
  2. Well yeah it would have as it was a £1. My grandad told me Sovs were pounds back in the day (1930's), before £1 notes.
  3. $695 an ounce in 2007..... $100 an ounce in 1973.... Historical Gold Price
  4. I expect people were thinking the same thing when 1oz coins were £500 😉
  5. I just look at it this way.... One can cash in 100% of the gold they hold and discretely, pensions nope, you get what ya given, maybe taxed on it and generally you or your family will never get all of it. Pick ya Poison.....

  7. Perhaps they tried to sell it but no-one wanted it....
  8. Ahh yeah, you see that in action with global illegal gold mining activity, of course they report every gram to the World Authorities! 🤣 And who are these World Authorities....? Whose staff must be able to roam freely at will all across China and Russia 🤣 to monitor, record and keep under constant surveillance, every single mine, to ensure that every gram that comes out of the ground is reported to them to be accounted for... Hmmmm
  9. 3 off 700 bar hydrogen tanks, thats 10,000+ psi in each. Not sure I'd want to be sitting near that in an accident
  10. Is Tesla a car company? Or an AI company? Yes they are probably in a bubble considering they are in the top ten by market cap but any other auto company is miles behind, maybe only one other in the top 50. I just assumed they made that much profit out of tech and innovation. Most of the major US EV manufacturers are adopting Tesla charging method, so there will be a massive Tesla charging point network required across the US.
  11. I'm guessing Chards can as they used to provide storage there. Guernsey Mint (now Bruce Russell) used to have a reasonable range a few years ago. If you havent been to the shop, its worth the trip just to drool at the shiny and enjoy the cafe. Bruce Russell - Guernsey
  12. They probably didnt take a hit as they ordered from their supplier at same time for the same terms. I'm guessing they have to order them in from somewhere rather than stuff being sold by customers. Cant see Chards speculating what might come through the door or in the "sell us your gold" post.
  13. You can buy Sovereigns via Bullionvault but can only vault bars. Bullionvault - Buy Coins
  14. That'll be the Radon, slowly getting us all 😱 I'd go with Sovs. Imagine finding a big red spot on a 5oz Gold Proof 🤮
  15. Agreed. The US just proved it by injecting $2Trillion into their banking system that is "sound" 🤣. They will just keep piling unlimited digits into the Globally Systemic Financial Institutions regardless of the consequences for everyone else....
  16. "At which point, clearly because we were inside some magical exclusion bubble, wereallowed to de-mask and socialise with every coughing, spluttering and chokingstranger around us"
  17. Seeing as its a Collectors Item, they'd best get it Conserved 😂🤣
  18. Better quality are the Lighthouse Ultras from Dauwalders... Ultra Coin Capsules
