CadmiumGreen reacted to SilverDrum in Today I Received.....
@Dakarasis a man of his word, he didn't send me a jar of farts!
I am making a collection of all the butts of the Silver forum. Awaiting my graded "One Pence" from @GoldDiggerDave, and i'm keeping an eye out for the next milky dogs from @HerefordBullyunto complete the unholy trinity! Next i will need a tray to place these on...

Initially thought Domino's had sent my pizza SD but delighted to report I am now in possession of a magnificent tray (or platter as I like to describe it ) plus a bonus of three sterling silver propelling bridge pencils 😀
Courtesy of @stefffana many thanks.

Also today, an absolutely beautiful 1953 Coronation Set. You can see the underlying brilliance shining through the haze, and the coins have a Cameo as thick as treacle- this is the nicest 1953 set I’ve had in my hands, and I already own what I thought was a fantastic example.

More £5 Crowns today. I do like the poignant edge Inscription on the Trafalgar coins.
The 40th Anniversary of the Coronation is a nice upgrade, as my existing example lacked Cameo.
And collecting a date run of £5’s/ Crowns isn’t always a joy, and you have to be prepared to take the rough with the smith, as can be seen by the less than desirable Charles’ 50th Birthday Crown.

A cheeky 2022 Philharmonic arrived this morning, as an 18th present for my eldest daughter (in September! 🤣), courtesy of Tavex.
My first purchase from them and to be honest they seem to have nailed the customer experience. Great prices and the presentation box was impeccable with a little compliment slip with my name on, small things but they certainly stand out for it.
Also thanks to @ArgentSmith for 3 of his Chronos to add to the kids stacks. Came vacuum packed, thinking to just leave them like that, but even so, you can see they are beautiful coins👍.
Have a good day guys!

1893-M Half Sovereign. Mintage of 110k. R in Marsh. And this is one of the DISH M507 types.
An honest bullion coin. Hardish to find - but always a pleasure to own Melbourne Half Sovereigns. Old Head Halves from the same year from the Melbourne Mint are rated R6 - I suspect I won't be finding one of those in a hurry!

Recent auction win.
Looks like this set was still in the sealed plastic bag until the auctioneer opened it to take pictures. Box and coins are perfect.

Greetings fellow coin nerds
Here's a recent addition. Its a collection of 7 King Willem III Dutch 10 Gulden coins, years 1875, 1876, 1877, 1879, 1880, 1886, and 1889.
The coins are in average circulated condition. What I find interesting are the wide range of mintages over the years, from 4,110,000 in 1875 to 35,585 in 1888. Some years in between had none minted at all.
I included obverse/reverse closeups of the 2 rarest ones from this group of 7 - 1880 (50,100) and 1886 (51,141)
