Interesting market impact from FX Street,

    Potential market impact
As far as this silver "short-squeeze" goes, it is still very early days, with spot prices still well within recent ranges. However, in the admittedly unlikely scenario that silver did see a "real" short-squeeze (i.e. if silver surged 100% to fresh all-time highs), this could impact currency markets by undermining confidence in the fiat-based monetary system. As most people are aware, most major developed market central bank’s target inflation of about 2% per annum and, amid the shock of the pandemic which compounded pre-existing deflationary forces (such as globalisation, aging populations and technological innovation), central bank have been finding it increasingly difficult to meet their 2% inflation targets. As a result, central banks have turned to increasingly unorthodox methods of attempting to boost inflation, such as quantitative easing, which is essentially the creation of new money out of thin air to buy government (and bank and corporate) debt, in order to artificially suppress interest rates and thus spur economic activity.
A key problem with such policies is that many fear that expansion of the money supply in such a way will boost inflation. Given that precious metals are seen as a hedge against inflation, any massive surge in precious metal prices might be seen as an early omen for an incoming surge in inflation. This would undermine confidence in fiat currencies across the globe, and the various winners and losers might be difficult to predict but given the fact that it is the global reserve currency, it would seem likely that the USD would have the most to lose from any precious metal price surge-induced loss of confidence in fiat currencies.

Agreed, if you were an alien you would see it as such because it is the case. I went to the dentist couple months back and he is a South African and during conversation regarding The Boer War, The British and World perception of us I asked, did he see us as a "free democracy" or a socialist/communist state? He saw the country as socialist. We are certainly not as "free" as we are led to believe.

Yes I think it's more likely that gold will have VAT slapped on it that silver getting VAT removed. If I was an alien who just landed in Britain without knowing any of it's history, I'd see the country as very socialist and moving towards communism.

I wasn’t quite sure where to go next after my initial foray into historic sets and to follow on from my purchase of the 1902 Edward VII Matte Proof Set.
Decided on this beautifully preserved 1911 George V Proof Coronation Set- a tiny 952 10 Coin ‘short’ sets were issued.

Once again, thank you to @Elements @Roy & @SilverMike who helped me decide 😀

2003 Silver Proof 1oz $1 Kangaroo - "Jirrah-Watty"   Featuring a design by acclaimed Aboriginal artist Ray Thomas of the Gunnai people in Gippsland, Victoria, the coin depicts "Jirrah-Watty" – the Big Kangaroo – in full flight. With bold muscular line-work underscoring the animal’s power and predominance, a delicate finish applied to the background envelopes the horizon in a shimmering heat haze, along with the distant silhouettes of another stalwart of the outback, the grass tree. Ray Thomas spent many years researching his Gunnai people’s myths, legends, designs and body marks. The patterned line-work and motifs are characteristic of the indigenous peoples throughout South-East Australia.   The corresponding "frostie" has a raised polished image with frosted background and was crafted by Vladimir Gottwald, Engraver at the Royal Australian Mint   This proof kangaroo is, in my opinion, the clear number one of the entire Skippy collection. A truly and outstandingly beautiful coin - I hope it goes some way towards mitigation regarding my previous post.   I hereby close the case for the defence and appeal to the jury of my peers.

The 1911 does look cast, and as such not a genuine sovereign. Plus 1911 seems to be quite a common date for fake sovs.

However.........It is still legal to make fake sovereigns in places like Dubai, as long as the gold content is the same. And 1911 does pop up quite regularly with these "Dubai Sovereigns"
I had one of these "fake" sovereigns once, and although it was obviously cast, it was the right size and weight and was made of 22ct gold. So I kept it. I eventually sold it, (on this forum if I remember correctly), letting the buyer know exactly what it was.
If it is exactly the same size and weight as the other sovereign, I personally wouldn't be rushing to get my money back, as you still have the same amount of gold at a really good price.

When I started buying gold coins in 2005, I visited a pawn shop looking to pick up some bargains. I knew nothing about sovereigns, but decided to buy a 2002, 3 coin sovereign proof set for £680, and a number of sovereigns for 70-80 each. The proof set was a good buy, however of the soveriegns, 2 were ex jewellery and another was a 21 K arabian copy. Overall I paid a fair price for the gold but would never use a pawn shop again, I now only buy gold from reputable coin shops.

The thing you you missed is its not a secret, find the vid of George Bush Sr stating 'they have a great opportunity to bring about a new world order'. Then find the vid of Gorden Brown saying it, and Obama and many many others. Then find the vid of all the world leaders doing that weird triangle hand symbol thing.
Please often say 'that can't happen someone would have said something' but at the same time no really that people are saying something. I had this happen, people saying SOMEONE would say something the secret is to BIG to keep......not realising the only reason am telling them this stuff is because the secret has got out.

Soon people will click, the global economy has collapsed and we are in a reset. Gold and silver has kept value for millenia, the wise always knew this but now billions of people are scrambling to preserve their wealth before inflation kicks in, I reckon silver will hit 50 pounds an ounce in the  next few months.

I completely agree. This is part of the One word govt. etc... Agenda 21/Agenda 2030. Hence why Brexit really put a spanner in the works of the United States of Europe (of which Macron is pushing Merkle hard to implement now that the southern states are really weak)

However there are a lot of people that are awake and that are waking up that will reject that and push for PMs and/or a gold standard again.

Sure, we are still some 39% away for that level, but silver has now done +97% since its late 2015 bear market low.  We all know how volatile silver can be -  another 39% can happen faster than anyone thinks.

Please explain how this chart how is derived and the data what it represents. The issue @Wonger charts you post have no explanation. Please don't cling onto the notion that picture says a thousand words you need to explain your findings otherwise falls down in credibility.
This is my long term view on Gold price anyone else can obtain the data freely from trading view https://www.tradingview.com/ and free to register and use. I think Gold is in a new bull channel with the long term target remain intact $2300 but going to be lots of twists and turns and may take number of years before these price levels hit. The target price derived last bull market to the end of that bull market added to the start of this bull market. Also added some notes on picture below and highlighted where I want to buy physical gold provided price reaches these levels.
Over to you @Wonger don't mind explaining your post please? Feel free to ask any questions about my post I am happy to explain further my analysis.
