The 2013 Gold Britannia is an interesting coin.
The 2012 was the last year they did Gold Britannia in 22ct and had dimensions of 32.69mm
In contrast the 2013 Gold Britannia was the first one in fine (999) gold but were larger 38.61mm but thinner 1.58mm
In 2014 the coin returned to 32.69mm like the 22ct but in 999 gold. 
it therefore has the curious value of being the largest (width anyway) 1oz Britannia made.
 

The 1897 Melbourne sovereign arrived today, a recent eBay buy.
Have had the two 1979 sovereigns for a while. A great year!

I thought I’d share some pics I just took. They are quite fabulous examples and real eye catchers. When time allows I will send them off for grading. 
As I am sure some will already know, but for those who do not, the half ounce gold/reverse proof for 2018 has a mintage 1000; that was the first year the reverse in gold was struck. Accompanying that pair are the 2019 equivalents, where mintages were even more modest 650 for the gold proof and 500 for the reverse in half ounce. Suffice to say I’m made up. Many thanks Rich 😎.

Another nice delivery full of history! Thank you @MikeG1978 for your contribution to the pile. I sniped the 1967 Gulden last second on eBay for £2.20 after too much wine. Then I realised they made a nickel coin that year too 😒. Delighted to find this was the silver version at significantly under spot!!!

This is my latest auction win a 1942 dated New Zealand 1/2 Crown made from .500 silver, this coin was minted in small numbers on the odd year from 1937 to 1946.
1942 being one of the lowest mintage years with 240,000 being made, the highest 1943 with 1,120,000 produced.

This is exactly the same dimensions, weight and gold content as a sovereign. It was minted in 1962 (they produced from 1961 to 1983).

I received a new addition to my jubilee head collection. For those familiar with Iverson Hill Dish it’s L513  - 1891 half sovereign. It’s graded AU58 but those who look at the Ngc number might realise that it’s a very old number, more on that later. As someone else mentioned to me it looks potentially undergraded. I hope the pics I’ve taken do it justice. The former owner a collector of some note of half sovereigns had been able to upgrade this year and was prepared to let this one go. He had owned this coin for over a decade hence the old ngc number & perhaps why it might be undergraded - older graded coins can be conservatively graded when compared to others which have been graded more recently. Many thanks to him. The truth is this particular half sovereign, although just over a million were issued way back when, is noted as scarce. The former owner feels that is quite conservative and believes it is quite rare and bearing in mind how long it took him to improve on this one I’m inclined to agree. Ngc census shows 16 graded examples only with five graded higher than this one.

I’ve added the lunar III 5oz Year of Ox high relief proof to the stack. All the proof coins and the 1kg BU are getting next Monday to NGC for getting graded. So fingers crossed.
