I just got this 2005 $100 pesos Mexican bimetallic coin, "Don Quixote de la Mancha" 400th anniversary. The center is 1/2 oz .925 silver. Coin is standard $100 pesos size of 39 mm. The edge is milled intermittently.
I know it's the national seal but I really think they should've made the eagle and snake skeletal, like the front characters.

Thanks @RacerCool, it sure is a keeper. Each regiment has there own regimental shop which sell stuff like this and also other bits and bobs for keep sakes or for special occasions. 23 has only recently had their 60th anniversary so they produced bottles of gin/whiskey/port etc (such as the bottle below) with special labels on for the lads to buy as keep sakes. They also now and again do one off pieces where they will go to some big well known watch companys and get special custom watches done. Normally it’s with the regiments badge on and also their rank, name and number on etc but unfortunately it’s all stuff they have to pay for 👍

Wow! Such a lovely medal. Truly a keeper!
EDIT: I just reread your post. These were sold to certain military folk and not just to the general public. I would think they'd be given only to SAS operators, though. Not sold but given because those guys have already earned it.

This is a very rare coin I have which some of you may find of interest. It’s Approx 30 grams and of .925 silver.
There was only a handful of these coins that was produced and they could only of been bought through the regimental PRI shop and they where not on sale to the public.
Enjoy

The "problem" is that there are at least two large sets to complete: two 32 piece sets, one set with the shields of each state, and one set with famous landmarks from each state. Then there are other individual coins like the Don Quixote coin that are the same size and bimetallic silver format. I've yet to acquire most of them.

Here are the oldest and some of the most interesting coins in the stack.
A 1793 8 reales, which has seen better days, but has also seen extensive circulation, especially in the east, as evidenced by its many chop marks.
An 1853 gothic florin is probably my favorite coin, of all the ones I have. Some day I'd like to upgrade it to a full crown. (as soon as I find that winning lottery ticket I seem to have misplaced)

Nice work, except you're supposed to minus the "variance" not the square root. (Just don't do the square root and you're good)
Otherwise I mostly agree except I'm inclined to divide Gold by the Mainstream Media constant.
