Today I received a 10oz Silver gothic QA.........Very clean and sizeable coin in hand! 

Third release of the EIC Masterpiece Collection. I have to say, not bad at all. Especially if you not hold a RM one.😉

I graded with PCGS for many years and prefer their holder but i found from experience that they could be a little mean grading modern proof coins, they did not seem to be keen on allowing for very small production defects, NGC appeared to be a little more tolerant with this.
However if you look at the current PGCS 70 grade definition it quotes that they will allow for as minted flaws as long as they are small and do not impact eye appeal of the coin.
 

Came in a loose cap but thankfully seems to have not been damaged. Not a great photo but I do like these 5oz versions

The Royal Mint is very aware of the issues raised with The Gothic Crown Portrait release. There are a lot of quality issues with the coins as well as capsules. 
They have seen my videos, they have seen other peoples videos and social media posts. 
They have even read this thread believe it or not. 
They are hopefully going to make things better and act to help customers.
I just received today a brand new box for my defective 2 coin Seymour Panther box. 
MAKE SURE YOU COMMUNICATE ISSUES LIKE BAD CAPSULES AND BAD BOXES TO THEM!
Otherwise they cannot hope to put it right!

Nice eBay win.  A 1950 Proof issue of King George VI coinage.  Only three Proof sets issued throughout George VI reign, the Royal Mint issued this as a commemorative of the mid- century.
Nice heavily toned and untouched set. 
 

Are there any better coin boxes out there than @Alun ones? Doubt it. Sleek, modern and quality build. Lovely way to house my Queen’s Beast bullion (plus completer 😏). I’m tempted to replace the gold completer with a platinum one seeing as its platinum jubilee year and all. Got the idea from @Stuntman. Still keep the gold one in a capsule of course. What do you think?

Great day out at the coin fair in London today. Thought would share a few cracking pictures of the day… and coins.

Hello I'm a Stacker and Collector from the Channel Islands I adore Gold and silver and of course some Platinum, I have been stacking and collecting for nearly 4 years now.
Previously I was into buying & collecting gemstones from auctions which I did for about a year and a bit it, which I still have.
I have always been fascinated by how the earth has so many amazing minerals which we can mine ourselves, the geological history of the earth really facinates me.
All I watch on YouTube is anything related with Gold, Silver, Mining shows, Prospectors, Podcasts & Financial Videos 😂 
I am also a volunteer Acheologist 
I have very little confidence so I don't have a youtube or anything 😄 but I have an instergram page @Guernsey_Bullion_Stacker. If you would like to follow me that would be awesome.. my goal is to hopefully get to the stage where i can start making content on diffrent platforms.
I am also aiming in the future to open up my own Bullion & Collectables Buisness in the Channel Islands with my partner and not just buy and sell bullion but also help people get a better understanding about gold and silver.

I used Secursus. I’ve not heard anyone use anyone better or different, so I’d be interested to hear about other companies too. 😉 
I emailed Secursus before sending the higher value coin I had and they replied with they fully cover Collectible/Proof/Graded coins of the precious metals variety, just not bullion.
Hope that helps but for your own security, maybe email them yourself. They usually rely the same day 👍🏻 
 
I also found them very fast and helpful when I entered the tracking number in wrong on the system and paid. I just emailed them the correct number and they corrected it and emailed me back a few hours later. Good experiences so far but never had to claim.

In their terms and conditions 4.2 they give examples of items covered by their insurance and collector coins are included so now i guess we are dealing with definitions and small print !
Basically it is just a pain in the butt trying to ship valuable coins within the UK unless you have some form of business insurance.
 
 
 
 

A company called Secursus give additional insurance for Royal Mail parcels.
They are currently quoting a cost of £100 for 10K of cover.
I have never used them, i think there are others on the forum that have but not sure if anyone has had to claim and if such a claim was smooth and straightforward ?
