That’s about right. You’ve really got to look very very hard to find an issue on a 70.
I zoom in to 3.8x (my new phone can go to 6x) on my iPhone video and do a recording and go over both sides slowly then watch it back then recheck areas of concern and tilt the coin. Lighting can make a big difference too.
This coin was graded a 70. I thought it could achieve it and it did. I opted for conservation anyway. If it’s living in a slab forever it might as well look it’s best. I sent it in at £4,650 value, £80 for grading and about £186 for conservation. It’s added value so I’m happy 😊 
 

I have not managed to find a UK based company that will insure your valuables, does anyone know of one ?
There are now so many single coins being sold that exceed the Royal Mail SD cover limit. Ebay sellers can be seen  quoting RM SD shipping even with mega expensive coins with no mention of additional insurance, maybe some dealers do have business insurance. Some others are asking for collection in person.
 In general the seller is responsible for goods until delivered so sending a 10k coin with RM SD would be brave. Yes it is a very good service, i have never had a problem with it in fifteen years of shipping coins but would you fancy the risk ? 
 
 
 

Finally had time to take a look at mine. I’m happy! It’s going to grading. I honestly I think it will get a 70. Zoomed in on video camera 4x magnification and it looks “mint”. I’ll grade it myself via NGC London. I have a 2oz Bowie to grade as well and a ton of credit at NGC to spend (I bought the Elite membership 3 months ago).
I’m really sorry for those who didn’t manage to get one. @Paul thanks for your comment about the queue on the day. I refreshed and boom I was into the queue. I was refreshing every 10-15 seconds anyway beforehand but I think you may have given me the kick 🦵 over the line. 
I’m a little bit “annoyed” at all the extra flippers that poured into the market which made it impossible for some old school regular buyers to miss out. Even @Paulwho missed out (I believe) was giving everyone with helpful tips on how to buy once passed the queue, how it works and to target your coin and get it in your basket and through to paid ASAP, so thanks @Paul for being an all round nice guy 👍🏻 
My experience was - I tried for a 2oz gold, couldn’t pay, panicked, went for a 5oz silver, couldn’t pay, panicked and then went for the 1oz silver. I think if I had stayed on the 5oz gold I would have came away with nothing. It eventually removed itself out of my basket  anyway after several attempts at paying (for the gold). Had I quit sooner I may have got the 5oz silver 🤷‍♂️
Just happy to have got one really. 😊

And the Royal Mint are cancelling orders whilst sitting back and watching the dealers do this. 
I am seriously considering closing my account. As others have said earlier in this thread, there are many other forms of silver and gold coins/bars that are available. Sure you won’t (immediately) pay off your mortgage by investing in a 2021 Britannia or some sovereigns but at least you can buy them at dealers for less than the Mint sell AND they won’t cancel your order.
I cannot wait for the coin fares to start again.

Conservation is considered before the grading process. If you have asked for this service NCS will look at your coin to decide if the coin will benefit from conservation, if so they will conserve it, if not they will send it for grading.
Newly minted coins can sometimes have issues that can be improved with conservation but it depends what the issue is. Some people send all newly minted coins for conservation in the hope of increasing the chance of getting a 70 grade with the view that the conservation will remove any issues with the coin. Not all issues can be resolved for example a contact mark.
PCGS previously did not  offer conservation but they fairly recently introduced it.
