So, if anyone does have a perfect quintuple but they are just sending the whole set back for a refund, for whatever reason, just let me know and I can take it off your hands in exchange for my less than perfect one!
I would be more than happy to pay for all the postage costs and would throw in a 1 oz hand poured silver goodie as a thank you!

So, from what I understand they always hold a few back - but really we are talking single digits here. 
Most of the replacements will come out of the pool of coins returned. 
One would hope that the QC department might take it seriously and maybe mix and match to get full sets of good coins. 
The remaining dud coins should, in my opinion, be melted down and reminted. 
Certainly in the case of the quintuple sovereign and the 5 coin set. £4795 issue price, you really should be getting as good a coin to the naked eye as possible. Clearly visible scratches/marks should not exist. If there are issues at 5x magnification to get a PF68 or PF69 grade, that is fine by me - I just want something that has nothing visibly wrong with it from the naked eye as I do not plan to grade this set.  

I don't disagree, and before I send my coins back I will very much be looking to have in writing from my account manager that I will have the option for the exact set I have sent back to be available should no suitable replacement be available.

Doesn't even have to be someone wanting a refund - if someone has more volition to return for replacement & complain than me then this offer stands too 🙂

Have a chat with @BackyardBullion his 5 coin set only has an issue with his £5  you all need to play "pass the parcel" with the sets make as many good sets up between yourselves, set up and exchange thread?  @apachebleu   @Mtaybar @magpie79
Doing this would leave one or two unlucky people potentially with just getting a refund, if you guys could get a dealer on board you all could play pass the parcel and all end up with perfect set with the dealer sending all the s**** back.  
The next time you order  both from the dealer and the RM and you might be able to help the dealer out next time as you could do the same for him?

Wow - on a few levels.
First, love the design in the flesh, its incredible. Second, the size of the big coins, stunning. 
HOWEVER
Quintuple sovereign capsule was OPEN 
There is a scratch/ding/frosting issue on the edge of the coin as a consequence. 
HOW does this happen.
This is SO bitterly disappointing because it is an issue that is so easily remedied compared to the cost of making or selling these sets.
I will be sending this back and INSISTING on a replacement/reminting of the coin. I do not want to miss out on such a stunning coin and I hope they will take this seriously. 
Makes good content for YouTube I guess, but I would far rather good coins.

Video tomorrow.
I tried to steer clear of just moaning about what is ultimately a very small quality issue. 
I really hope that I can get a replacement though - or a reminted set if they have no suitable replacement - because let me tell you, I LOVE THIS SET!

I just feel very lucky to be in a position in life where I can buy/invest in these products.
If the real worst case scenario happens and all that happens is I get my money back at the end of the day then so be it.

Print arrived.
Going back too. cardboard packaging was all bent out of shape and in my opinion way too thin/flimsy for a product like this.
As you can see, significant damage on the actual print and accompanying letter.

I would be returning it for a replacement if it arrived like that.
Last thing to say is that the cotton gloves are not the best to be handling proof coins, you should get some powder less latex or professional coin glove/finger covers.

To be fair, I might just put it under compression under a heavy book for a while and then see how it looks in a few days. 
Maybe it will be OK.

Honestly, I would rather talk about how awesome this set is and how good the design is. 
The video (yet to be filmed) that will come out tomorrow will probably focus on the design, the potential for the future of the set and then that will lead into the decisions to peruse this replacement to the bitter end. 
Last time we had a similar situation with the 10 coin Queens Beast set they gave a few options:
1) return for refund
2) return for replacement
3) remint if possible
4) if none of the above are acceptable then I get back the original set I returned so I don't miss out entirely and have nothing. 
So I would expect the above to apply here too.
So I can see worst case scenario for me accepting this set as it is - I would rather have this set with a minor issue than no set at all.
