I would agree 100%.  I bought into the Great Engravers as well, not for profit as much as I like the designs.  I  might be a little behind in value but I still like the coins.  
A major difference I see is that people are comparing a historic design, the 2022 sovereign for a new monarch, with a copy (GE series) of a historic design. 
If we all had an original Una, Three Graces, or gothic crown we would most likely be pleased with the return.  I think the same can be said for the sov, this one is destined for significance, maybe just not next week or even next year- it will age like fine wine.  Just my opinion……..

I had a close friend who is not a coin collector but had some profits from a house sale come through and i advised him to go for the five coin set and hold.  Had a little time today as working from home to piece some info together from various sources to educate him a little further in coin history/values/past sales on these larger proofs historically and what they have achieved.  To anyone else who took the leap of faith, fingers crossed history should repeat with time as the market matures, coins disappear and get held in strong hand as years progress

1952 ELIZABETH II - not in general release - 3-4 proof of record/pattern sets only (as stated by SilverMike) - i cant find any online sales with my limited reach.  Nothing appears to be graded at NGC or PCGS 2022 CHARLES III 2022 - 1,200 mintage in five coin presentation RRP £5,595 at launch

I remember people bashing  the 2oz gold Una and the lion on release. 
 
For me I’m getting a few of these just because I genuinely like the coin, and the proof £5 will look magnificent.
